★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un’esperienza da non ripetere. Un’empatia completamente assente. Una disponibilità ancor meno presente. Sono andata da questo dottore per una visita oculistica accompagnata da bruciore agli occhi: il giorno della visita, non essendo stata avvertita di dover stare per tre giorni senza lenti a contatto, mi è stata fatta una visita di controllo e non mi è stata misurata la diottria. Mi sono lamentata, è certo perché per mancanza di informazione (sì, non lo sapevo perché altri oculisti non mi hanno posto in passato tutti questi problemi) io dovrei andare a spendere nuovamente i soldi di una visita specialistica nata con una ricetta in cui c’era scritto “sospetto aumento miopia”. Sono rientrata più volte per far presente che non era giusto. La conclusione? Una prescrizione senza una reale visita, giusto per togliermi da mezzo. Gli ho chiesto: “e la visita?” . La risposta è stata: “no, quella no.”
Quindi questa prescrizione di miopia sulla base di cosa mi è stata fatta? Sulla gradazione delle lentine che IO ho dichiarato a voce di avere.
Cosa avrebbe potuto fare? Misurarmi la diottria, con la consapevolezza che la visita sarebbe potuta non essere stata iper precisa. Non certo lasciarmi una prescrizione per “togliersi il pensiero”. La gente va a lavoro e non caccia i soldi per farsi prendere in giro. Io li ho anche cacciati.

An experience not to be repeated. A completely absent empathy. An even less present availability. I went to this doctor for an eye examination accompanied by burning eyes: the day of the visit, not having been warned of having to stay for three days without contact lenses, I was given a check-up and I was not measured diopter. I complained, it is certain because for lack of information (yes, I did not know it because other ophthalmologists have not asked me all these problems in the past) I should go and spend the money again on a specialist visit born with a recipe in which there is "suspected myopia increase" was written. I came back several times to report that it wasn't fair. The conclusion? A prescription without a real visit, just to get me out of the way. I asked him: "What about the visit?" . The answer was: "no, that no."
So what was my prescription of myopia based on what was made of me? On the gradation of the lenses that I have declared verbally to have.
What could he have done? Measure my diopter, knowing that the visit might not have been hyper-precise. Certainly not leave me a prescription to "take your mind off". People go to work and don't hunt money to make fun of themselves. I also hunted them.
