★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite and narrow street hidden on the old town.. the whole street people make orecchiette the pasta very indigenous to Bari.. Old ladies sit in the street make the dough and eventually the pasta.. You can also buy from these people directly.. Approximately 150 gms cost around 3 euros.. There is also a variety of pasta and different sizes to choose from..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place where you can taste the true tradition of Orecchiette making in Bari by all these women full of joy and big smiles. It's a small street a bit hidden and these ladies are always keen on talking and exchanging about their traditions. Process are not very expensive and everything they sell is fresh and amazingly tasty. Loved this experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, interesting fact, lots of nice ladies are selling orecchiette on the street, which is quite nice, and on that street in the end of it there is a lady inviting you to have the lunch in her house for the price of 15€. You will get orecchiette of course, also some meatballs, olives, red wine or beer … and that would be all. As an experience could be interesting, but definitely not impressed. It seems that those orecchiette was prepared with a basic ketchup, and also the taste … something horrible. I think those orecchiette were the worst pasta I ever ate. I will not recommend you to try it, but if you want … feel free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pasta was okay, flavor-wise I liked it more than store bought pasta but nothing special. My problems is that we were deceived by the quantity of the pasta we bought. When talking to the nice lady that sold us the baggies, I was under the impression that half a kilo is 5 euro. We paid 10 euro for two bags of pasta, that's already quite the high price, but to our unpleasant surprise, upon weighting them at home we found out that the baggies are 300 grams each at best. Disappointing and we felt lied to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's always nice to see people constructing something by hand. In this case, it's hand made pasta. It's fascinating to see those ladies create something in a few seconds.
This is one of the highlights in Bari!
And don't forget to buy some. It's cheap, it's fresh and it's tasty.
