β β β β β Looks great, but there aren't many interesting things to see. You'll be done with this place after 10-15 minutes, but it is worth it!

β β β β β No queues and free entry, an amazingly huge villa with a great view, a must visit location in my opinion - ideal to get an idea of pre-Vesuvius Roman times and don't fancy the much longer walk around Pompeii or Herculaneum.

β β β β β Exquisite Roman Villa, thoroughly enjoyed looking around it. It's not on the tourist trail so we had to time to enjoy it and the tranquility there.

β β β β β The two villas are beautiful and in very good shape, you can still see the color on the walls! Much less popular than Pompeii, but well worth the trip. Especially Villa Marco is aamazing, huge and absolutely impressive! Both are a bit of a way to walk from Castellamare (at least 35min) but I think there is a bus stop as well. If you find the time, you should definitely visit <3 (Entry is free at the moment)

β β β β β Absolutely incredible. Free entry and we had an incredibly informative guide - Rafael (who works there). Would recommend if you don't have enough times to go through the ruins properly. A great example of Roman architecture that is still well preserved and beautiful. The nearby Villa Arianna is also lovely (with incredible views). Would highly recommend!

β β β β β Villa San Marco.
I visited 3 different villas outside Herculaneum and Pompei, loved them all, but this one was my favorite. Don't know why. It is a bit twisted. Half of the house goes in 45 degrees. And many of the wall paintings were taken by Bourbons, they are in Naples Archeological Museum, replaced by the photos. Even the faded wall paintings were just mesmerizing. This atrium blew my mind.

β β β β β Wonderful place to get a sense of the past (next go to the museum to see some of the paintings escavated here).
The villa is impressive and worth a trip
