★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il fiume cavata e' una preziosa via d'acqua che nasce ai piedi di Sermoneta (Lt) e giunge sino a Foro Appio (Sezze-Lt), per poi scorrere nel canale Linea-Pio VI e proseguire sino a Terracina. E' possibile percorrere questo tratto, con escursioni giornaliere, sia per singoli che per gruppi, a bordo di canoe classiche, canoe canadesi a otto posti, e di altre imbarcazioni mosse senza alcun ausilio di motori, in totale sicurezza di una lenta e appassionante discesa, lungo la quale gli affascinanti compagni di viaggio saranno la quiete, l'acqua purissima, la vegetazione lussureggiante, il paesaggio a tratti selvaggio e incontaminato, ricco di testimonianze d'epoca medioevale, che ricordano l'utilizzo del sito come approdo fluviale e via d'acqua per l'antico borgo di Sermoneta.
The cavata river is a precious waterway that rises at the foot of Sermoneta (Lt) and reaches Foro Appio (Sezze-Lt), then flows into the Linea-Pio VI canal and continues to Terracina. It is possible to cover this stretch, with daily excursions, both for individuals and for groups, aboard classic canoes, eight-seater Canadian canoes, and other boats moved without any help from engines, in total safety of a slow and exciting descent , along which the fascinating traveling companions will be the quiet, the pure water, the lush vegetation, the wild and uncontaminated landscape, rich in medieval testimonies, which recall the use of the site as a river and via port of water for the ancient village of Sermoneta.
