Il Centro storico della città di Salerno, romana prima, longobarda dopo, si sviluppa attorno al decumano maggiore di via Tasso e al cardo di via dei Canali, con una forma triangolare con al vertice il Castello, ai lati i torrenti Fusandola e Rafastia e, infine, alla base le spiagge di Santa Teresa e di Santa Lucia.
 Glimpses that deserve to be safeguarded. The historic center of the city of Salerno, first Roman, later Lombard, develops around the major decumanus of via Tasso and the cardo of via dei Canali, with a triangular shape with the Castle at the top, at the sides the Fusandola and Rafastia streams and, finally, at the base the beaches of Santa Teresa and Santa Lucia.
