C	Ceobanu Vlad on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a car on DoYouItaly, first mistake, they gave us misleading information and the staff kept on insisting that it’s our fault that this happened. We ended up paying fifty percent more than for a similar car from Avis or Sixt, all this while the person at the front desk was rude and not very helpful. Save yourself the trouble and go to a respected car dealer.

But allow plenty of time for getting to this office if driving since all the roads round here are one way and working out which ones to take to get just to the exact point was difficult. Also the office is tiny with no drop off parking, so expect to double park on this busy road. If you are getting a taxi from here check the cost first as a short ride from here to our hotel in Ortigia was €14.
S	Sinziana Maftei on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sicily is a lovely island, don't ruin your travelling experience by renting a car from Sicily by Car. Their motto is 'The client is always wrong'. There is an old gentlemen who has no idea how to communicate with customers, though that should be his primary ability, and a young fella who seems to be sort of affable, that is until the payment is done. Afterwards there's a whole lotta story, such as him deciding to check the car after the client leaves it at their representance, just to make it easier for them to charge your card for damages that were not done. If you ask them to check the car in your presence they suddenly become very displeased with your demand. Go and check more on Tripadvisor regarding their credibility, you will see that many consider them to be a fraud. Not even Italians would recommend hiring a car from this so called company. And neither would I. One star is one too many and I don't want to spend my entire evening going through all the troubles I went through with them since booking a car from them. Enjoy Sicily by renting from a reliable provider, folks!

My partner and I were apprehensive at first about renting a car from this company after reading some pretty negative reviews, but having just returned from a 5-day trip around Sicily with one of their cars we honestly can't find a single fault with them. We initially dealt with Giancarlo, who was friendly, helpful and professional at all times, and upon our return we dealt with Ciara, who was just as courteous and professional. Paperwork was dealt with promptly, our car (a gorgeous little Fiat 500c convertible) was presented to us in great condition and with a full tank, and the SicilyByCar team were available to us with a direct number if we ever needed. We took out the full insurance package with SicilyByCar also, which we felt was very reasonably priced. All in all we felt very well looked after and would recommend this branch of the company to anyone in Syracusa.

A	Amelin Jabbur on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible company. Please, if you are a foreign tourist, read this, do not fall for their scam. They park the car in a prohibited area while they make you sign the lease and then make you wait. While you wait, an officer (without your being able to see him) issues a ticket because the car is badly parked there. Then (like one month after you return the car), they try to make you pay because you technically removed the car from the company 5 minutes before the fine ticket was issued (which you didn't, you just signed the lease and waited while the fine ticked was supposedly issued). I repeat, a fine made the same day that you withdraw the car from the company, generated in the adress of the company, while you were waiting for your car, in the place where THEY park the car. When you call, they tell you there is nothing they can do about it. PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE, THEY ARE DISHONEST.
