★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Si divide in Alto e Basso e si allunga da Piazzale Roma fino a San Marco,attraversando la Strada Nova,nome veneziano di Via Vittorio Emanuele,il re dell'epoca in cui venne ampliata e rifatta in parte per agevolare i fIlussi pedonali.E' il logico percorso per chi arriva dalla terraferma,passando in partenza per il nuovo e discusso ponte di Calatrava,un'ora di passeggiata fino in piazza,tra fiumane di gente nei weekend end,attratte da miriadi di negozi di paccottiglia contraffatta,paninoteche,chioschi di gusto discutibile.I negozi di un tempo sono pressoché spariti,non ci sono monumenti di particolare rilievo.Ciononostante è un camminare gradevole,specie per i "foresti"come i Veneziani rimasti chiamano tutti gli altri.
It is divided into Alto and Basso and stretches from Piazzale Roma to San Marco, crossing the Strada Nova, the Venetian name of Via Vittorio Emanuele, the king of the time in which it was enlarged and partially redone to facilitate pedestrian traffic. the logical route for those arriving from the mainland, passing the new and discussed Calatrava bridge, an hour's walk to the square, among floods of people on weekend ends, attracted by myriads of counterfeit junk shops, sandwich bars, kiosks of questionable taste. The shops of the past have almost disappeared, there are no monuments of particular importance. Nonetheless it is a pleasant walk, especially for "strangers" as the remaining Venetians call all the others.
