★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Duomo presenta attualmente un aspetto settecentesco, sia all'esterno che all'interno, dove campeggia, sul soffitto, un vasto affresco di Giambattista Canal (non bellissimo). Da notare inoltre la pala d'altare di Tiziano e alcune opere di pittori locali, tra cui Pietro Pajetta. Una visita la merita sicuramente.
 The Duomo currently has an eighteenth-century appearance, both outside and inside, where a vast fresco by Giambattista Canal (not beautiful) stands out on the ceiling. Note also the altarpiece by Titian and some works by local painters, including Pietro Pajetta. A visit is definitely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un giro a Serravalle va fatto .... palazzi storici .... scorci suggestivi e locali interessanti . Il Duomo non è un museo visitabile ad ogni ora .... bisogna in formarsi prima ... se trovate chiuso ed è estate non avete fatto un giro a vuoto perchè il fresco che si gode on piazza non ha eguali !!!
A trip to Serravalle to be done .... historic buildings .... beautiful sights and interesting places. The Duomo is not a museum that can be visited at any time .... you have to train first ... if you find it closed and it is summer you have not made a round trip because the coolness enjoyed on the square is unparalleled !!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È un bellissimo posto ...tra i migliori a livello storico.valee la pena di fare una passeggiata vedendo la splendida piazza che di sera è sempre affollata e c'è sempre un po'di vento che ti rinfresca. Dopo il ponticello c'è il duomo ...da visitare. A fianco del museo c'è una salita di ciotolato che ti porta in via roma .... andateci posti bellissimi e se avete fortuna andate a visitare il castello e se avete fame...fermatevi alla pizzeria 128..pizza buonissima.?
It is a beautiful place ... among the best on a historical level. It is worth taking a walk seeing the splendid square that is always crowded in the evening and there is always a bit of wind that refreshes you. After the bridge there is the cathedral ... to visit. Next to the museum there is a small uphill section that takes you to via roma .... go there beautiful places and if you are lucky go to visit the castle and if you are hungry ... stop at pizzeria 128..a delicious pizza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L’edificio è nato, come tanti importante costruzioni religiose, da un altro edificio sacro preesistente forse già al XIV secolo. Il Duomo di Serravale acquista la sua attuale forma nel 1779, per opera dell’architetto Domenico Schiavi di Tolmezzo.
All’interno sono presenti opere d’importanti artisti come la pala di Tiziano, dipinti di Francesco da Milano, Gian Battista Canal, Felice Schiavoni.
Notevoli sculture di Francesco Cavrioli e Marco Casagrande, quest’ultimo di scuola canoviana.
La torre campanaria ha la datazione del XIV-XVI secolo.
Uno scenario molto affascinante per i concerti che si tengono a Natale occasioni per apprezzare il suono del suo organo del 1822
La posizione del Duomo fa che la chiesa sia particolarmente fredda e poco luminosa nei mesi invernali.
Like so many important religious buildings, the building was born from another pre-existing sacred building, perhaps as early as the 14th century. The Cathedral of Serravale acquires its current shape in 1779, thanks to the architect Domenico Schiavi di Tolmezzo.
Inside there are works by important artists such as Titian's altarpiece, paintings by Francesco da Milano, Gian Battista Canal, Felice Schiavoni.
Remarkable sculptures by Francesco Cavrioli and Marco Casagrande, the latter of the Canova school.
The bell tower dates from the 14th-16th century.
A very fascinating setting for the concerts held at Christmas occasions to appreciate the sound of its 1822 organ
The position of the Duomo makes the church particularly cold and not very bright in the winter months.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Presso il ponte sul Meschio, il Duomo di Serravalle, dedicato alla Natività della Vergine (Santa Maria Nova), viene ricostruito nel 1779 sul luogo della chiesa primitiva, probabilmente del primo Trecento. L’interno, a navata unica, ha pregevoli altari marmorei e numerose opere d’arte. L'attenzione, tuttavia, è subito presa dalla pala dell’altare maggiore, Madonna col Bambino e i Santi Andrea e Pietro, di Tiziano Vecellio (1457). Le figure sono trattate secondo i consueti canoni dell’arte sacra, ma con un dinamismo che guida immediatamente lo sguardo al centro della composizione: la Madonna con Bambino in gloria tra gli angeli; Sant’Andrea, recante una grande croce, simbolo del suo martirio; San Pietro, con le chiavi nella mano rivolta verso il Bambino e un libro nell’altra. Da apprezzare è anche la scena evangelica che risalta sullo sfondo paesistico e che riguarda da molto vicino i due santi, la Pesca Miracolosa, occasione nella quale Cristo si rivela ai fratelli pescatori, chiamandoli all’apostolato.

At the bridge over the Meschio, the Cathedral of Serravalle, dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin (Santa Maria Nova), was rebuilt in 1779 on the site of the primitive church, probably from the early fourteenth century. The interior, with a single nave, has valuable marble altars and numerous works of art. The attention, however, is immediately taken by the altarpiece of the main altar, Madonna and Child with Saints Andrew and Peter, by Tiziano Vecellio (1457). The figures are treated according to the usual canons of sacred art, but with a dynamism that immediately guides the gaze to the center of the composition: the Madonna and Child in glory among the angels; Saint Andrew, bearing a large cross, symbol of his martyrdom; St. Peter, with the keys in his hand facing the child and a book in the other. Also worthy of note is the Gospel scene which stands out against the landscape and which closely concerns the two saints, the Miraculous Peach, an occasion in which Christ reveals himself to the fishermen brothers, calling them to the apostolate.

Part north of Vittorio Veneto. Pleasant center with beautiful historic buildings. Worth a trip out of town and for the more daring it deserves the climb to Santa Augusta
