★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il nome "sentiero del Viandante" è di recente utilizzo, a partire dagli anni '90 da quando venne completato il ripristino dei vari tratti del percorso da parte dell'Azienda turistica Lecchese, in precedenza è stato Via Ducale, Via Regia e anche Napoleona. Il percorso si sviluppa lungo la sponda Lecchese del lago e ha una lunghezza di 45 km, va quindi affrontato a tappe, ognuna di esse offre degli scorci panoramici del lago e delle varie cime. L'ottima condizione dei vari sentieri che compongono l'intero percorso rendono l'itinerario fruibile a qualsiasi età, ma per chi ha ambizioni agonistiche c’è il Trail del Viandante, gara podistica dedicata ai veri sportivi. Le stagioni migliori per affrontare il Sentiero del Viandante sono la primavera e l'autunno, d'estate fa molto caldo ed consigliabile utilizzare le ore più fresche del mattino.
The name "Sentiero del Viandante" is of recent use, starting from the 90s when the restoration of the various sections of the route by the Lecco Tourist Board was completed, previously it was Via Ducale, Via Regia and also Napoleona. The route runs along the Lecco shore of the lake and has a length of 45 km, it must therefore be tackled in stages, each of which offers panoramic views of the lake and the various peaks. The excellent condition of the various paths that make up the entire route make the itinerary usable at any age, but for those with competitive ambitions there is the Trail del Viandante, a foot race dedicated to true sportsmen. The best seasons to tackle the Sentiero del Viandante are spring and autumn, in summer it is very hot and it is advisable to use the coolest hours of the morning.

Partendo dalla stazione di Abbadia Lariana per l'inizio sentiero è presente una salita in città di circa 10min.
Il sentiero non presenta particolari difficoltà, molto frequentato, quasi sempre esposto al sole, tranne una breve parte nei boschi, all'ombra ed al fresco.
Abbiamo terminato il percorso in 3h circa, terminando la camminata sulla spiaggia di Lierna.
Dislivello quasi inesistente.
Consiglio agli appassionati di trekking, sconsiglio a famiglie con passeggini e bimbi piccoli.
First stage of the wayfarer made on 8 May 2020.
Starting from the Abbadia Lariana station for the beginning of the path there is a climb into the city of about 10min.
The path does not present particular difficulties, very popular, almost always exposed to the sun, except for a short part in the woods, in the shade and in the cool.
We finished the journey in about 3 hours, ending the walk on the beach of Lierna.
Almost non-existent altitude difference.
Recommend to trekking enthusiasts, not recommended for families with strollers and small children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il sentiero del Viandante è Bellissimo e panoramico, affrontabile in qualsiasi stagione (meglio in giornate di sole). Eseguibile in diverse tappe, il sentiero passa su terreni misti tra le montagne e i paesi (vicino alle stazioni ferroviarie). Innumerevoli agriturismi e aree picnic lungo il percorso. Ve lo consiglio!! Attrezzatevi con scarponi/scarpe comode per la camminata in montagna.
The Path of the Wayfarer is beautiful and panoramic, accessible in any season (better on sunny days). Executable in several stages, the trail passes on mixed terrain between the mountains and the villages (near the railway stations). Countless farmhouses and picnic areas along the way. I recommend it !! Equip yourself with comfortable boots / shoes for walking in the mountains.
