S	Simona Torchio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto meraviglioso Spiaggia pulita, mare pulito dai riflessi rosa, parcheggio economico con docce e bagni e personale gentilissimo Sito archeologico a due passi, peccato che a causa della vegetazione altissima, non abbiamo potuto fare il bel giretto che ci eravamo prefissati Comunque i miei bambini si sono divertiti tantissimo L’unica minuscola nota negativa è l’invasione delle zanzare nel parcheggio nel tardo pomeriggio Wonderful place Clean beach, clean sea with pink reflections, cheap parking with showers and toilets and very kind staff Archaeological site within walking distance, too bad that due to the very high vegetation, we could not do the nice walk that we had set for ourselves However, my children had a great time The only minus negative note is the invasion of mosquitoes in the parking lot in the late afternoon
A	Alessandro Campagna on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il parco archeologico raggiungibile da una breve passeggiata lungo il sentiero che porta a torre Saturo si presenta in uno stato di abbandono e completamente incustodita. Si gode dall altopiano una vista sul mare unica dove poter ammirare tranquillamente la limpidezza di queste acque. Vi sono presenti I resti di due antiche ville romane. Chiaramente visibili le piscine e le vasche che una volta erano adibite a terme romane, ci sono ancora piccoli frammenti di marmi, mattoncini pavimentali e le mura sia interne che perimetrali delle varie strutture. The archaeological park reachable by a short walk along the path that leads to Torre Saturo is in a state of abandonment and completely unattended. From the plateau you can enjoy a unique view of the sea where you can easily admire the clarity of these waters. There are the remains of two ancient Roman villas. Clearly visible the pools and basins that were once used as Roman baths, there are still small fragments of marble, floor bricks and the internal and perimeter walls of the various structures.
L	LionViper king on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Parco Archeologico di Saturo, di notevole valenza storica e archeologica, con reperti che vanno dal Neolitico avanzato alla civiltà greca e romana, è situato nell'omonima località in provincia di Taranto, la quale deve il suo nome alla leggenda che narra di come Taras, uno dei figli di Poseidone, nel 2000 a.C. fondò questo insediamento dedicandolo alla madre, la ninfa Satyria. Gestito dalla Cooperativa PoliSviluppo, formata da giovani e volenterosi archeologi, il Parco si estende su un promontorio di grande interesse storico, naturalistico e paesaggistico, luogo di approdo degli Spartani che nel 706 a.C., guidati da Falanto, sottrassero il territorio ai lapigi e fondarono la città di Taranto facendone una colonia della Magna Grecia. Nel Parco è possibile visitare i Villaggi dell'Età del Bronzo e del Ferro, l'Acropoli con i resti di un santuario greco, ed una splendida villa costiera romana di epoca imperiale, con camere residenziali, pavimenti musivi originali ed ambienti termali. Di particolare interesse anche la cisterna romana, le cave antiche, le strutture murarie sommerse, la torre di avvistamento del XV secolo e le varie costruzioni realizzate durante la II Guerra Mondiale. Il Parco Archeologico di Saturo dispone di un punto di ristoro ed organizza visite guidate, progetti didattici e laboratori di archeologia sperimentale; ospita inoltre al suo interno l'ARKEOGIOCHI, il Parco Giochi del Mondo Antico, con proposte ludico-didattiche per famiglie e scolaresche. The Archaeological Park of Saturo, of considerable historical and archaeological value, with finds ranging from the advanced Neolithic to the Greek and Roman civilization, is located in the homonymous locality in the province of Taranto, which owes its name to the legend that tells of how Taras , one of the sons of Poseidon, in 2000 BC he founded this settlement dedicating it to his mother, the nymph Satyria. Managed by the PoliSviluppo Cooperative, formed by young and willing archaeologists, the Park extends over a promontory of great historical, naturalistic and landscape interest, the landing place of the Spartans who in 706 BC, led by Falanto, took the territory away from stone and founded the city of Taranto making it a colony of Magna Graecia. In the Park it is possible to visit the Bronze and Iron Age Villages, the Acropolis with the remains of a Greek sanctuary, and a splendid Roman coastal villa from the imperial era, with residential rooms, original mosaic floors and spa rooms. Of particular interest are the Roman cistern, the ancient quarries, the submerged wall structures, the 15th century watchtower and the various constructions built during the Second World War. The Archaeological Park of Saturo has a refreshment point and organizes guided tours, educational projects and experimental archeology laboratories; it also hosts the ARKEOGIOCHI, the Ancient World Playground, with recreational and educational proposals for families and school groups.

Sarà un luogo incantevole e riacquistera' il meritato turismo The renovation of the Saracen tower and the whole park will be completed by 2023. It will be an enchanting place and will regain well-deserved tourism.
