Il sentimento di fede che unisce i campobassani nei confronti di Maria ha poco riscontro in altre realtà cittadine. Il culmine è il 31 Maggio, a chiusura del mese dedicato a Maria, ma la devozione si protrae per tutto l'anno in modo instancabile. Il santuario è molto ben tenuto, un piccolo gioiellino, e per questo dobbiamo ringraziare i Padri Cappuccini e tutti i cittadini di buona volontà. Inoltre, la visuale della città che si può avere dal santuario è senza pari, e nello stesso sito troviamo il bel Castello Monforte, sede del Sacrario dei Caduti e di una stazione meteorologica. Infine, la splendida Via Matris rimessa a nuovo completa un quadro di notevole pregio. Venite a Campobasso!! Every time I go to the sanctuary, it's like the first time. The sentiment of faith that unites the Campobassans with Mary has little confirmation in other urban realities. The climax is May 31, at the end of the month dedicated to Mary, but the devotion goes on tirelessly throughout the year. The sanctuary is very well maintained, a little gem, and for this we must thank the Capuchin Fathers and all citizens of good will. Furthermore, the view of the city that can be had from the sanctuary is unparalleled, and in the same site we find the beautiful Castello Monforte, seat of the Memorial to the Fallen and a meteorological station. Finally, the splendid Via Matris refurbished completes a picture of considerable value. Come to Campobasso !!

Da qui la Madonna concede migliaia di grazie a chiunque la prega con fiducia (e io ne sono una testimonianza). La chiesa originale è risalente al periodo basso medievale e fu ricostruita nel XIX secolo. Al suo interno si può vedere la statua della Madonna con Gesù bambino portata in processione ogni anno il 31 maggio, giorno in cui si festeggia il suo nome: "Maria Santissima Incoronata del Monte". La processione di svolge lungo le vie del centro storico di Campobasso, che si predispone a festa per questo evento. Una piccola perla del santuario è la cappellina dedicata a San Pio dove si trovano gli abiti indossati dal Santo che per un periodo fu inviato proprio qui poiché i suoi problemi di salute esigevano un'aria più salubre. The original church dates back to the low medieval period and was rebuilt in the 19th century. Inside you can see the statue of the Madonna with baby Jesus carried in procession every year on May 31, the day in which her name is celebrated: "Maria Santissima Incoronata del Monte". The procession takes place along the streets of the historic center of Campobasso, which prepares to celebrate this event. A small pearl of the sanctuary is the chapel dedicated to San Pio where there are the clothes worn by the Saint who for a period was sent right here because his health problems required a healthier air.
