Il Museo si trova proprio sulla scalinata che porta al Castello, un luogo di pace. Ha molti reperti Sanniti ma soprattutto monili e suppellettili. Conviene una visita! Together with the Castle they are the only attractions that you can find in the center of Campobasso, which excels more for food and quality of life than for attractions! The Museum is located right on the staircase that leads to the Castle, a place of peace. It has many Samnite finds but above all jewelry and furnishings. It's worth a visit!

M	Michele Sica on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il museo è strutturato molto bene, la visita è godibile grazie al numero dei reperti non eccessivo e alle spiegazioni fatte molto bene. Tuttavia abbiamo riscontrato tre grosse pecche: prima: sarebbe teoricamente possibile seguire una visita interattiva grazie ad una app, peccato che il cellulare nel museo non ha campo e non ci sia uno straccio di Wi-Fi; seconda: nel 2022 nel museo Sannitico di Campobasso non è possibile pagare con bancomat o carta di credito ( soldi in bocca!); terza e peggiore di tutte: la visita è stata infastidita per tutto il tempo dagli schiamazzi a voce altissima degli addetti del museo, amplificato dal cortile centrale, che hanno reso impossibile concentrarsi su quello che si leggeva e vedeva, dando l'impressione più di essere al mercato rionale che in una istituzione culturale. Imperdonabile!!! The museum is very well structured, the visit is enjoyable thanks to the not excessive number of finds and the explanations done very well. However, we found three major flaws: first: it would theoretically be possible to follow an interactive visit thanks to an app, it is a pity that the mobile phone in the museum has no range and there is not a shred of Wi-Fi; second: in 2022 in the Samnite museum in Campobasso it is not possible to pay by debit or credit card (money in your mouth!); third and worst of all: the visit was annoyed all the time by the loud noises of the museum staff, amplified by the central courtyard, which made it impossible to concentrate on what you were reading and seeing, giving the impression more of being at the local market and in a cultural institution. Unforgivable!!!

Telefono staccato... Citofono inesistente... Al palazzo di fianco della sovraintendenza ai beni culturali, deserto! Chiedo in giro a negozianti o agli addetti del castello e tutti mi rispondono con la stessa moneta: faccia rassegnata con spalle e braccia verso l'alto... Che peccato! Un vero peccato!!! Ingresso a pagamento 4 euro a luglio 2021. Molto interessante e da vedere se ti interessa l'archeologia. In un'oretta si visita tutto, anche meno se non si legge tutto. Attention, lately the afternoon is closed. In doubt, we went in the morning. Small but well stocked! Arranged on three floors. Admission fee 4 euros in July 2021. Very interesting and to see if you are interested in archeology. In an hour you can visit everything, even less if you don't read everything.
