Asciano is a small village located in the heart of the Crete Senesi, really very nice to visit, certainly less crowded than more famous places, you can stop here after passing through the streets that will make you admire the Crete Senesi!

Besonders sehenswert ist der Palio am zweiten September Sonntag (leider dieses Jahr ohne Zuschauer WG. Covid) Even the journey to Asciano is an experience, "picture book" Tuscany around Asciano. Asciano is a nice, small town with flair and little tourism. The Palio on the second Sunday of September is particularly worth seeing (unfortunately this year without a spectator WG.Covid)

Sono presenti due musei interessanti, uno in cui sono custoditi importanti reperti,provenienti dalle necropoli etrusche della zona. Beautiful town in the center of the Crete Senesi. Well-kept, lively historic center, with excellent places to eat or taste typical local products. There are two interesting museums, one in which important finds are kept, coming from the Etruscan necropolis of the area.

Ci sono poi alcune emergenze storiche e artistiche degne d'essere conosciute e apprezzate. March 26, 2022. A truly beautiful historic center, to be enjoyed, strolling through the streets and lingering in the squares. Then there are some historical and artistic emergencies worthy of being known and appreciated.

Abbiamo fatto una bella passeggiata nel centro storico, era già tardi ed era tutto chiuso ma abbiamo ammirato i bei palazzi medievali e dato che c'erano poche auto sembrava davvero di essere in un film. A small, welcoming, clean town, no garbage on the side of the roads and not even butts thrown on the ground. We had a nice walk in the historic center, it was already late and everything was closed but we admired the beautiful medieval buildings and since there were few cars it really felt like being in a movie.

Visitato in largo e lungo tra due bar aperti (uno con personale assolutamente scostante) e un ristorante divino (l'angolo dello sfizio), chiese e musei chiusi. Deserto ovunque. Mah...... Beautiful medieval village, well-kept and clean but absolutely devoid of hospitality or points for tourists. Visited far and wide between two open bars (one with absolutely unfriendly staff) and a divine restaurant (the corner of whim), closed churches and museums. Desert everywhere. Mah ......
