e	emanuele arrigoni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesetta fantastica con una vista su Mandello unica. Raggiungibile partendo dalla frazione di Somana in meno di un’ ora di cammino. Il percorso per raggiungerla è la via crucis composta da 12 croci posizionate lungo tutto il percorso sino a raggiungere la chiesetta, molto utile se volete contare quanto vi manca ad arrivare ;) ahah. Il sentiero che si va percorrendo è abbastanza ampio e in certi punti battuto; principalmente è in salita, ma vi sono un paio di punti pianeggianti e dove fermarsi a riposare se si vuole. Non lo definirei impegnativo come sentiero, alla portata di tutti, tranne magari bambini piccoli e anziani con difficoltà. Una volta arrivati puó capitare che trovate il punto ristoro aperto, dove potete entrare e andare nel prato a strapiombo che guarda Mandello; mentre la chiesa è sempre visitabile. Procedendo con il sentiero invece troverete due vie che portano ad Era alta ed a Era bassa. Fantastic little church with a unique view of Mandello. It can be reached starting from the hamlet of Somana in less than an hour's walk. The path to reach it is the via crucis made up of 12 crosses positioned along the entire path until you reach the church, very useful if you want to count how long you need to arrive;) haha. The path that you go on is quite wide and in some places beaten; mostly it is uphill, but there are a couple of flat spots and where to stop and rest if you want. I would not define it as challenging as a path, within everyone's reach, except maybe small children and elderly people with difficulty. Once you arrive, it may happen that you find the refreshment point open, where you can enter and go to the overhanging meadow overlooking Mandello; while the church is always open to visitors. Proceeding with the path instead you will find two routes that lead to Era alta and Era Bassa.

P	Paolo Lazzarini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Era un ospizio benedettino di cui si anno notizie dal XII sulla strada che da Mandello portava in Valsassina scavalcando la Grigna. dove i vindati trovavano ospitalità e protezione dai numerosi briganti di manzoniana memoria come i bravi o Lasco. il "Ladro gentiluomo". La sua origine è sicuramente longobarda. Leonardo fece visita e descrisse questi luoghi, per conto di Ludovico il Moro, quindi pure lui deve avervi soggiornato. Gli interni sono di epoca barocca e il tetto è stato rifatto recentemente in seguito ad un'incendio forse causato da un fulmine. L'architettura è rimasta fedele alle origini. Dal suo balcone si scorge una magnifica vista sul Lago Lariano, pure l'altra riva, dall'altro lato le selvagge valli con Zucchi e Orridi, sotto la cima della Grigna Settentrionale. D	Demetrio Tasca on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo Santuario Partendo da Olcio lo si raggiunge tramite un sentiero ben segnalato e alla portata di tutti... Arrivati in cima la vista spettacolare ripaga pienamente della fatica. Una visita al santuario è poi si può approfittare dell'accoglienza del custode che può offrire un ottimo formaggio accompagnato con pane e vino..... Torneremo sicuramente per una passeggiata di gruppo Beautiful Sanctuary Starting from Olcio it can be reached via a well-marked path within everyone's reach ... L	La via della lentezza on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una bella passeggiata tra i boschi in tranquillità con vista lago? Ecco il posto che fa per te. Partendo da Mandello anche dalla ferrovia puoi dirigerti presso l'abitato di Somana, da dove parte il sentiero per raggiungere questa bella chiesa. Il tracciato da seguire è il numero 15 che poi, volendo, porta anche ad altre mete (Rifugio Bietti per esempio 3 h dalla chiesetta di S.Maria, oppure la piccola frazione di Era). Il sentiero stacca da Somana per giungere nei boschi secondo un tratturo dolce e mai troppo ripido. In circa 40 minuti sarai arrivato a destinazione in questo splendido gioiello della Val Meria. Starting from Mandello also from the railway you can head to the town of Somana, from where the path starts to reach this beautiful church. The route to follow is number 15 which then, if desired, also leads to other destinations (Rifugio Bietti for example 3 h from the church of S. Maria, or the small hamlet of Era). The path branches off from Somana to reach the woods according to a gentle and never too steep sheep track. In about 40 minutes you will arrive at your destination in this splendid jewel of the Val Meria.

Prestate attenzione al percorso, non è segnalato con la dicitura "Santuario di Santa Maria della Croce", meglio seguire la segnaletica n. 15. Il cammino è semplice, il dislivello accessibile ma consiglio sempre scarponcini e un minimo di allenamento. Suggestive Sanctuary nestled in the woods above Mandello. Pay attention to the path, it is not marked with the words "Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Croce", better follow the signs n. 15. The path is simple, the difference in height accessible but I always recommend hiking boots and a minimum of training.

Si ha una buona visuale sulle Grigne e sul lago di lecco. Durante il percorso si incontrano 13 croci.
