★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This world-famous Sanctuary and connected Caves are in the Gargano region of eastern Italy's coastline. Medieval travelers for thousands of years passed through here on religious pilgrimages. On that route since 490 AD is the mountaintop village of Monte Sant' Angelo with it's Cave of the Archangel Michael. Through the Sanctuary you pass down numerous long flights of well-worn stone steps in karst caves and into the church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the few non consecrated places of worship and holy eucharist, as it is believed that the archangel Michael consecrated the church himself. It contains the cave of the apparitions of st Michael ND forms a straight line with all the other shrines dedicated to st Michael.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in the small town of monte sant'angelo. One of the many sanctuaries where St. Michael the archangel appeared and are dated in history. You can search their history in the internet. To broad to discuss here but it iw worth the read. Also this place has a overview of gargano peninsula. A great view of the ocean and mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a sight to see. It is situated inside an underground cave, it is holy and magnificent, and especially for Christians a sight to behold, an important place of worship
This place was a destination for countless Christian pilgrimages from all over. In fact it was visited by St Francis of assisi, Padre Pio and many other devout Christians and famous theologians
I sure recommend it, for it it is widely known and accepted that people's prayers are answered here graces are granted and miracles happen in those who visit, and it is also widely accepted that those who come will be protected by the most powerful of archangels Michael
I loved it, I will return!!!
