★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La primitiva chiesa fu costruita intorno all'anno 1000 ma - intorno al 1306 - fu Incendiata e gravemente danneggiata dagli Apostolici di Fra Dolcino. Immediatamente riparata fu poi ricostruita ed ampliata nel 1600. Nella prima metà del 1700 fu completata la facciata dove è rimasta solo un concio di pietra scolpito con lo stemma dei Visconti a ricordo dell'edificio medioevale.
Interessante il campanile tardo romanico ricostruito nel 1307 e poi sopra elevato nell'800.
All'interno si possono ammirare tele del 1500 e dipinti ottocenteschi che raffigurano l'ultima battaglia di Dolcino e la sua cattura.
The primitive church was built around the year 1000 but - around 1306 - it was burned and seriously damaged by the Apostolics of Fra Dolcino. Immediately repaired, it was then rebuilt and enlarged in the 1600s. In the first half of the 1700s the façade was completed where there is only a stone ashlar carved with the Visconti crest in memory of the medieval building.
Interesting late Romanesque bell tower rebuilt in 1307 and then elevated above 800.
Inside you can admire canvases from the 1500s and nineteenth-century paintings depicting the last battle of Dolcino and its capture.
