Rappresenta la Madonna in trono col Bambino, assieme a San Giuseppe, San Bernardino, San Giovanni Battista, Sant'Antonio Abate. Meritano attenzione anche i dipinti del Cavagna in controfacciata e la sua "Pietà". Interessante un affresco cinquecentesco nella seconda cappella a destra: raffigura la Madonna col Bambino ed i santi Onofrio e Antonio da Padova. Coeva è la statua lignea dell'arcangelo Raffaele con Tobiolo. Nell'arco trionfale due affreschi simmetrici del '400 o '500: si tratta di San Sebastiano e di San Bernardino con un disciplino. La chiesa, chiusa per svariati anni, ora è tenuta aperta dai volontari della parrocchia e del Touring, sia al mattino che al pomeriggio. The church, dedicated to San Bernardino, from the inside of neo-Gothic forms, houses an altarpiece painted by Lorenzo Lotto in 1521 and restored in 2002. It represents the Madonna enthroned with the Child, together with San Giuseppe, San Bernardino, San Giovanni Battista, Sant 'Antonio Abate. Cavagna's paintings on the counter-façade and his "Pietà" also deserve attention. Interesting is a sixteenth-century fresco in the second chapel on the right: it depicts the Madonna with Child and the saints Onofrio and Antonio da Padova. Coeval is the wooden statue of the archangel Raphael with Tobiolo. In the triumphal arch there are two symmetrical frescoes of the '400 or' 500: they are San Sebastiano and San Bernardino with a disciplino. The church, closed for several years, is now kept open by volunteers from the parish and the Touring, both in the morning and in the afternoon.

Il volto della Madonna è semplicemente incantevole! ... e non è tutto. I "disciplini bianchi" che hanno voluto questo oratorio come loro sede nel '500 ci hanno fatto un regalo meraviglioso. Grazie ad un'iniziativa del Parroco prossimamente questo gioiello dimenticato diventerà nuovamente accessibile. Normally closed ... but today I had the opportunity to visit it. The "Pala di S. Bernardino" (1571) by Lorenzo Lotto is sublime! The face of the Madonna is simply enchanting! ... and that's not all. The "white disciplines" who wanted this oratory as their headquarters in the 16th century gave us a wonderful gift. Thanks to an initiative of the parish priest this forgotten jewel will soon become accessible again.

Solo su prenotazione (difficile da ottenere) o in occasioni speciali. Peccato, poco valorizzata: avrebbe molti visitatori appassionati di pittura, essendo anche vicina all'Accademia Carrara e alla chiesa di Santo Spirito, dove si trova un'altra pala del Lotto. EDIT: finalmente dal 2020 è aperta grazie ai volontari del Touring ? Three stars instead of 5 because it contains a Lotto masterpiece (a Sacred Conversation among the most beautiful in Lombardy, with vivid colors and formidable realism) but it is almost impossible to find it open. By reservation only (difficult to obtain) or on special occasions. Too bad, little valued: it would have many visitors passionate about painting, being also close to the Carrara Academy and the church of Santo Spirito, where there is another altarpiece by Lotto. EDIT: finally from 2020 it is open thanks to the Touring volunteers ?

Arte stupenda, in particolar modo la magnifica pala d’altare di Lorenzo Lotto, ovvero: Madonna in trono con il Bambino, i santi Giuseppe, Bernardino, Giovanni Battista, Antonio abate e angeli. A Bergamo ci sono chiese bellissime, che vale la pena di visitare. I made a stop in that church on a Good Friday. Well maintained 15th century old church. Wonderful art, especially the magnificent altarpiece by Lorenzo Lotto, namely: Madonna enthroned with the Child, Saints Joseph, Bernardino, John the Baptist, Antonio Abbot and angels. In Bergamo there are beautiful churches, which are worth a visit.
