★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely walk around Lucca with great views of the buildings within the walls and the views of the landscape amd mountains outside.
The walk is approximately 10Km and is an easy level path with numerous ways to get off and stop for a break with a coffee or pastries.
The walls & Lucca were the film location of a top gear episode "can Italian cars be driven in Italy".

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All of the Baluardos have their own special attributes, but I especially like this one for anything astronomical. It doesn't have a lot of trees like the others, which makes seeing the night sky much much easier. This is my go to place for anything like that, including seeing the International Space Station going over head or seeing the lunar eclipse.
