★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come tutti i baluardi di Lucca offre una bella vista sulle sortite e sul prato sottostante, nonché sulla città fuori dalle mura. C'è una zona verde, le mura, un po' come in tutti i baluardi.
 Like all the bastions of Lucca, it offers a beautiful view of the sortie and the lawn below, as well as the city outside the walls. There is a green area, the walls, a bit like in all bulwarks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uno dei più belli e antichi baluardi di Lucca, ovviamente la versione che possiamo ammirare oggi, seppur splendida, è stata completamente modificata nel corso dei secoli, comunque diversi caratteri distintivi dell'epoca rimangono ancora visibili. A mio parere il dettaglio più caratteristico p lo scudo in pietra raffigurante la Madonna posato sul frontilizio. Assolutamente da visitare.
One of the most beautiful and ancient bastions of Lucca, obviously the version that we can admire today, although splendid, has been completely modified over the centuries, however different distinctive features of the era still remain visible. In my opinion the most characteristic detail is the stone shield depicting the Madonna resting on the front. Absolutely to visit.
