Al Sacrario militare, qui, nella zona XVI, dove sono ubicati l’ossario dei caduti in guerra e i riquadri dei deceduti per causa di servizio, riposano 2846 soldati.
Degni di quell’anima altamente italiana, esempio di virtù militari e di devozione al dovere che ammiro e rispetto.
A molti di loro è stata riconosciuta la medaglia d’oro, la più alta onorificenza.
Ma non voglio fare distinzioni, sono tutti figli di una madre che li ha pianti.
Io li commemoro oggi tutti questi eroi.
The place of memory.
At the military memorial, here, in the XVI area, where the ossuary of the war dead and the panels of the deceased due to service are located, 2846 soldiers rest.
Worthy of that highly Italian soul, an example of military virtue and devotion to the duty that I admire and respect.
Many of them have been awarded the gold medal, the highest honor.
But I don't want to make any distinctions, they are all children of a mother who mourned them.
I commemorate all these heroes today.
