L	Lorenzo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa fortunatamente ancora in piedi, è forse il reperto più bello e intatto di tutta la necropoli. La vegetazione ha completamente inglobato la struttura, di per se non è un problema se non fosse per il rischio di crollo. Il comune di Viterbo deve rimettere in piedi questo patrimonio, valorizzarlo e imparare a saperlo rivendere. In Italia abbiamo veramente un patrimonio troppo grande e finiamo con il trascurarne la maggior parte. M	Michele Maione on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo sull'arce Etrusca di Tuscania, nell'alto medioevo qui è sorta, forse su di un tempio Etrusco Romano, di cui è stata parzialmente riutilizzata la struttura, come si vede all'interno da muratura e colonne di spoglio, una chiesa ove hanno officiato i vescovi della sede vescovile. Tutto il complesso è difeso da possenti torri in pietra locale, come del resto la stessa chiesa, il nenfro. La facciata ha un delicatissimo portale cosmatesco a tre ordini di archi, sopra di esso in barbo bianco splendido il rosone ed agli angoli i quattro evengelisti simbolizzati come l'aquila, il leone, l'angelo, il vitello, ai lati troviamo due draghi che inseguono una preda. Ai lati di questi draghi sono due bifore: quella di destra è circondata da figure fantastiche e demoniache, quella di sinistra dall'Agnus Dei e da rappresentazioni di angeli e Padri della Chiesa. Alla base della bifora di sinistra un bassorilievo, possibile riutilizzo di una scultura etrusca o più probabilmente romana, che rappresenta un uomo che corre, o forse danza. Il rosone della basilica di San Pietro L'interno della chiesa è diviso in tre navate: quella centrale, in cui spicca un pavimento cosmatesco a decorazioni geometriche che indica gli spazi della prima costruzione, risulta separata dalle altre attraverso un basso muro in cui sono ricavati dei sedili in pietra. B	Bruno Bindi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ luogo di suggestiva bellezza storica e paesaggistica (anche se lasciata al degrado e meriterebbe più cura e sensibilità per la conservazione) sarebbe un vero peccato perdere questi "tesori"che la storia ci ha lasciato. Nessuno ha fatto attenzione all'eco" impressionante per lunghezza del ritorno del discorso pronunciato... camminando lungo il canalone con amici sentivo un brusio in lontananza che proveniva al di là del torrente... alche ho gridato "ma allora!!" e di ritorno chiaramente intera... non si fa finita... ugualmente.... il tutto mi è stato detto è rimasto molto impresso. a place of evocative historical and landscape beauty (even if left to decay and deserves more care and sensitivity for conservation) it would be a real shame to lose these "treasures" that history has left us. Vivenzio di Norchia invece, riguardano un edificio di epoca romanica, databile verosimilmente al XII secolo, quando tutto il distretto geografico era suddiviso in incastellamenti, ognuno con un centro abitato, un castello e una chiesa che svolgeva in prevalenza le funzioni di pieve o abbazia. Questo sito, di cui sono visibili i resti della cinta muraria, del castello e, poco distante, della chiesa, è stato edificato su preesistenza etrusche nei pressi di un torrente, sul bancone tufaceo di fronte la necropoli rupestre di Norchia. La chiesa, a tre navate com absidi allineate e cripta, spicca per gli elementi "lombardi" che le maestranze impegnate trasferivano da un edificio all'altro, in particolare cornici marcapiano e costolonature verticali. Qua e là si notano archi a tutto sesto ed elementi in materiale diverso dal tufo locale che conferivano una ricercata bicromia Trattandosi di resti, immersi nella natura, sono aperti H24; il sito si raggiunge abbastanza facilmente seguendo un sentiero che parte dal secondo ponte sul ruscello sottostante la rupe.
