m	mario rossi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un'avventura da vivere. Il fatto che sia abbandonata dalle istituzioni è forse un dato positivo, è un posto incontaminato e tutto da scoprire. Non basta un giorno per vedere tutto e i sentieri sono labirintici specie a ovest del biedano. Città scavata nella roccia, tombe da ogni parte castello e chiesa diroccate, un complesso di strade scavato nella pietra e molto altro vi aspettano. I rovi sono molto fitti consiglio un machete per farsi strada e una torcia per entrare dentro le tombe o le grotte. An adventure to live. c	carlo venturi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il giudizio è il risultato di due distinte valutazioni. Norchia (5 stelle) è la più bella e spettacolare necropoli rupestre esistente in Italia. Il panorama che appare dal colle dove sorgono il castello e la chiesa romanica di San Pietro è unico e straordinario come già raccontato dal Dennis nel suo diario archeologico di viaggio. Purtroppo lo stato della manutenzione impedisce di vederne la magnificenza. Infatti la vegetazione nasconde ormai quasi del tutto a parete monumentale. Inoltre, pur avendo visitato molte volte il sito (sono nato e cresciuto non lontano) durante l'ultima recentissima visita non sono riuscito a trovare né i frontoni dorici,né l'imbarco della tarata della via Clodia. Inoltre i ponticelli che permettono il passaggio sul torrente che divide la zona medioevale da quella etrusca sono precari e malsicuri. Infine il pianoro del castello è impraticabile per la fittissima vegetazione, e non sono più visibili le sepolture longobarde presso l'abside della chiesa. Insomma un monumento unico tutelato privo di cure e manutenzione. P.S. la pensilina della tomba prossima o tomba a dado sta crollando un pezzo per volta. Cosa si aspetta a sostenere la parte rimasta? Ci sono le necropoli etrusche, i ruderi di un castello e una chiesa medievale ed è ancora visibile la porta di ingresso del borgo medievale The site, unfortunately in a state of semi-neglect, still deserves to be visited. M	Marco Salvalaggio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Innanzitutto come già altri hanno detto NON BISOGNA SEGUIRE LE INDICAZIONI DEL NAVIGATORE. Se proprio si vuole usarlo bisogna avere l'accortezza di non indicare la necropoli ma il parcheggio della necropoli. Detto questo il sito interessante ma in uno stato di semi-abbandono. Da visitare ci sono due parti; la prima si raggiunge in pochi minuti dal parcheggio ed è la necropoli vera e propria con le caratteristiche tombe a dado, alcune sono anche visitabili ma senza spiegazioni di sorta e totalmente al buio. L'accesso in certi casi è anche un po' pericoloso per via delle scalinate ripide. Anche la discesa lungo la necropoli non è che sia esattamente una passeggiata e bisogna fare attenzione. C'è da dire però che il sito è molto suggestivo immerso com'è nella vegetazione. Arrivati al fondo della vallata si trova un torrentello che si può attraversare tramite dei ponti in legno leggermente precari ma non pericolosi. A questo punto si risale dall'altra parte e si raggiunge l'antico centro medievale di cui rimangono le spoglie vestigia del Castello e, più in là, della chiesa di San Pietro. Il posto vale un'escursione, meglio se equipaggiati con scarpe da trekking e abbigliamento adatto a brevi e semplici scalate. It is also suitable for children as long as they are watched carefully in the most dangerous and unsafe areas.

You can enjoy relics of significant past: from the Etruscan tombs with amazing facades to the remains of the medieval settlement (castel and church). The natural setting is beautiful: the canyon, the river, the forest and the tufa bedrock. The access is free and open (no personel is there). Only the first part of the site has some fences, for the rest you should pay much attention to holes and other dangers.
