G	Giulio Gi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In questo piccolo angolo di natura ai piedi del monte Cucco vi ritroverete immersi in una distesa di faggi secolari e potrete godere di un momento di pace e riflessione personale. Per arrivare all'eremo si può parcheggiare al convento di S.Angelo e poi salire a piedi per circa 600 metri fino a ritrovare sulla destra l'inizio del sentiero per il romitorio con tanto di insegna a mo' di freccia. Dopo una ventina di minuti di camminata in leggera salita sarà possibile entrare nel romitorio di San Girolamo e immergersi in quelli che erano i luoghi dove il santo ha vissuto. Il sentiero prosegue per tutto il monte (ore e ore di cammino in salita o mountain bike per i più intraprendenti). Assolutamente consigliato per grandi e piccini, per chi vuole passare un momento di sano distacco dalla routine quotidiana e godere di un'atmosfera unica di montagna in compagnia o in solitaria. In this small corner of nature at the foot of Mount Cucco you will find yourself immersed in an expanse of centuries-old beech trees and you will be able to enjoy a moment of peace and personal reflection. To get to the hermitage you can park at the convent of S. Angelo and then walk up for about 600 meters until you find on the right the beginning of the path to the hermitage complete with an arrow sign. After about twenty minutes of walking uphill it will be possible to enter the hermitage of San Girolamo and immerse yourself in what were the places where the saint lived. The path continues throughout the mountain (hours and hours of uphill walking or mountain biking for the more enterprising). Absolutely recommended for young and old, for those who want to spend a moment of healthy detachment from the daily routine and enjoy a unique mountain atmosphere in company or alone.
l	lisa rita on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dal parcheggio con una breve passeggiata tra i faggi costeggiando un canalone si arriva all'eremo di San Girolamo, luogo molto suggestivo, un cartello racconta la storia del santo e della costruzione dell'eremo...una storia quantomeno particolare...fermatevi a leggerlo per trarre le vostre personali considerazioni...da vedere? From the parking lot with a short walk among the beech trees along a gully you reach the hermitage of San Girolamo, a very suggestive place, a sign tells the story of the saint and the construction of the hermitage ... a particular story at least ... stop at read it to draw your personal considerations ... to see?
A	Alessandro Stella on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il posto ë incantevole e suggestivo. Peccato che non é ben segnalato e che sia per lo più sfruttato da motociclisti con le moto da cross. Una piccola cripta scavata dentro alla pietra in mezzo alla natura. The place is enchanting and suggestive. Too bad that it is not well signposted and that it is mostly used by motorcyclists with dirt bikes. A small crypt carved into the stone in the middle of nature.

Purtroppo le posizioni registrate da altri utenti su Maps sono errate e portano a cercare l'inizio del percorso troppo a nord del monastero di Sant'Angelo, mentre l'imbocco è a poche centinaia di metri superato il cancello del monastero(prima foto). L'eremo è in piena faggeta, in quasi completo abbandono e una volta all'anno vi si celebra la S.Messa (1°domenica di luglio). Seguite i segnali rossi e bianchi sui tronchi degli alberi....e PER FAVORE, non lasciate rifiuti, abbiamo trovato plastica e mascherine lungo il percorso! ? The path is easy, it takes 20 minutes. The hermitage is in full beech wood, almost completely abandoned and once a year Holy Mass is celebrated there (1st Sunday in July). Follow the red and white signs on the tree trunks .... and PLEASE don't leave any litter, we found plastic and masks along the way! ?

Consigliato in piena estate, in quanto si sta molto freschi. Ottimo per chi vuole fare foto naturalistiche Very easy to get to. It was my last business trip. I promised a gentleman that I would accompany him and we went. Recommended in the height of summer, as it is very cool. Great for those who want to take nature photos

Facilmente raggiungibile seguendo il percorso contrassegnato dai colori rosso e bianco anche se consigliato l'uso di calzature idonee. Il rudere è semi abbandonato e vi è presenza di cartellonistica. L'eremo, scavato nella roccia, è frutto del lavoro di esperta manovalanza senese, commissionato dallo stesso nobile Girolamo Gabrielli. Lo ha utilizzato per breve periodo del 1525 come dormitorio e luogo di penitenza ma fu costretto presto ad abbandonare a causa dei depredamenti e malmenati subiti. Suggestiva la saletta inferiore utilizzata dal Santo quale luogo di preghiera ed ancora oggi per celebrarvi, una volta all'anno, una Santa messa Mystical place, immersed in the green of the beech forest. Easily accessible by following the path marked in red and white even if the use of suitable footwear is recommended. The ruin is semi-abandoned and there are signs.
