★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So many platforms for basically one line. The Roma-Lido is technically a metro line parallel to another one. It could just be a branch line, and there would be 8 less platform edges to run between.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With Metro B line at the stop Piramide, you walk to adjacent Porta San Paolo Station which is the starting point for the train bringing to Ostia beach near Rome. Station might need a bit updating but without losing its old style hopefully. Nearby you also find Eataly for a selection of quality italian food.
Final stop of the Lido line is Cristoforo Colombo but you may step down earlier for other beach areas. Or even before so to admire Ostia Antica ruins.
