★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il primo nucleo edilzio è ascrivibile all'inizio del XIII secolo mentre la prima menzione del complesso risale al 1318 in relazione alle controversie ereditarie della famiglia dei Conti di Segni.
Dopo la creazione di una cisterna nel corso del XV secolo, il castello subì distruzioni e il successivo abbandono nel Cinquecento. Fra XVII e XVIII secolo interventi di ristrutturazione interessarono l'area.
Oggi il castello è visitabile, ma almeno tre nuclei familiari abitano alcuni ambienti del complesso. Il lato Nord-Est è completamente invaso da piante rampicanti.
 The first building nucleus can be ascribed to the beginning of the 13th century while the first mention of the complex dates back to 1318 in relation to the hereditary disputes of the Conti di Segni family.
After the creation of a cistern during the fifteenth century, the castle suffered destruction and the subsequent abandonment in the sixteenth century. Between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries restructuring interventions affected the area.
Today the castle can be visited, but at least three families live in some areas of the complex. The North-East side is completely invaded by climbing plants.
