★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Pisa for the day, the owner’s happy smile and the bright greeting of the waitress brought us into The Dantesca for lunch we enjoyed a mixed platter of bruschetta to start, very tasty chicken liver pate, tomato’s and truffle oil, followed by wild boar pasta and the seared beef and tomato dish. Both excellent and plenty of it. We had a good bottle of chianti and excellent, fun service and would definitely recommend the Dantesca for lunch… a long lunch?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for a restaurant a little away from the leaning Tower to avoid the tourist traps. We found Dantesca and had a splendid meal of wild boar with pasta. I loved the accompanying sause. The staff were friendly and the restaurant includes a covered outside seating area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They adapted the menu to our veg request and we ended up with an oustanding first course: pici ai poodorini with ricotta salata.
The outdoor table are quiet and cozy and service is kind and efficient.
Just avoid tourist traps close to the tower and enjoy this!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food, especially Caprese. It was served with Burrata, which I love and it was probably the best I’ve ever tried… The wine was absolutely great! But the pasta was a little overpriced… Waiters are totally nice and friendly. Regardless the fact that it took them a little too long to bring the meal and the bill afterwards, we left with a pleasant impression of the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, fairly quiet place for lunch on a square still pretty central but slightly away from the busier tourist streets. Friendly and quick service, and reasonable value. Good specials - the seafood 'hamburger' was particularly good

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an amazing lunch on two different days here! The wild boar ragu was amazing, I ordered it with pasta.
The Vegan beetroot gnocchi was super tasty as well. We had a super nice experience. The staff was helpful and nice. We were rushing to the airport and they helped us to have a quick lunch!
