Every year when we are in this region we visit Ristorante Pizzeria Maffei. We could recommemd this to anyone who loves a good and well catered italian diner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was very efficient considering how busy this place gets. The general feel and decor is fantastic. The food was good and the wine was really nice. My only issue is I was charged €3 to have some onions and peppers in my calzone.
Revisited recently and was even better than my first visit, so increased my rating to five stars from four.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The kitchen was about to close and it looked like rain but they allowed us to put in our order real quick and sit outside under the umbrellas (it never did rain). The meal and service were all very good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic food in a fantastic location. Service was excellent despite it being very busy. The building itself adds something to the whole experience as well (we were told it was an old brewery once upon a time). Tall stone vaulted rooms and heavy wood panelling.
We have a variety of dishes, all of them excellent.
Crema di Catalunya as dessert was a new discovery for us and I can safely say I will seek it out in future.
