v	vic on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ decent food but descriptions not totally accurate, for example sea bass ravioli with shellfish cream sauce had no cream or shellfish and the ravioli had ricotta but no discernible fish. Likewise 'pepper pie' was a spoonful of mildly flavoured baked custard and a desert spoon of sauce which was very nice but meagre. Disappointing.

Ambiente e servizio straaccoglienti. Il livello del cibo alto: veramente asiette Michelin. There are only a few restaurants in Pisa in the Michelin guide. La Clessidra is one of them, on "asiette" level, and they deserve it. It's traditional Tuscan rural cuisine on the heavier side, but very well prepared and inventive. Absolutely good value for money.
