Di passaggio per bevagna, abbiamo deciso di andare a cenare al ristorante ottavius hosteria d'autore. La location Γ¨ molto bella, accogliente e, con il camino acceso, tutto diventa molto romantico....ma....la location non la mangi.... Mi spiego.... Siamo stati accolti gentilmente dalla cameriera, abbiamo ordinato :uova strapazzate con tartufo (estremamente cotte ed insapore), pancia di cinta senese caramellata (servita, ahimΓ¨, su purΓ¨, ipotizzo di cicerchia, sciapo e non condito su cui Γ¨ stato aggiunto, forse per condimento (?) la glassa di aceto balsamico?) e, sperando di migliorare questa cena, disastrosa nel gusto, abbiamo ordinato due dolci, un classico tiramisΓΉ e cantucci con passito.... ? Il tiramisΓΉ era rivisitato con tre pavesini, crema al mascarpone e scaglie di cioccolato, (niente di eccezionale), i cantucci sembravano "datati", il passito ottimo, cosΓ¬ come il vino della casa, buono. Speravamo di gustare piatti saporiti e della tradizione ma siamo stati delusi dall'antipasto al dolce. Sicuramente non torneremo. ??‍♀️

We were kindly welcomed by the waitress, we ordered: scrambled eggs with truffles (extremely cooked and tasteless), caramelized cinta senese belly (served, alas, on mashed potatoes, hypothesis of cicerchia, unsweetened and unseasoned on which the vinegar glaze has been added, perhaps as a condiment (?) balsamic) and, hoping to improve this dinner, disastrous in taste, we ordered two desserts, a classic tiramisu and cantucci with passito .... ? The tiramisu was revisited with three pavesini, mascarpone cream and chocolate flakes, (nothing exceptional), the cantucci seemed "dated", the passito excellent, as well as the house wine, good. We were hoping to enjoy tasty and traditional dishes but we were disappointed from the appetizer to the dessert. We will definitely not be returning. ??‍♀️

interior is cosy and very clean. Service was a bit slow but the food was excellent, I would recommend their speciality, the gnocchi.

Door shut had to ask if open to be fair was a quiet night but kitchen door open nice inside owner came to take order found we only spoke young waitress was given the job.She spoke very eell we tried to help in Italian as well.owner went and spoke to locals food average food you cooked at home.

Good food, nothing exceptional. Extremely slow service almost embarrassing. Smoking is allowed and that is seriously wrong. They do not take AMERICAN EXPRESS. I don't think I'll be back.
