È possibile mangiare sia la mattina, a pranzo e la sera ed ad ogni pasto è possibile assaporare ottime pietanze. Inoltre d’estate e possibile mangiare all’esterno di sera tra diversi alberi di ulivi. Ottime pizze e da provare assolutamente la caponata di mele "squisita". Il personale è molto cordiale ed i proprietari molto disponibili. I hadn't been to La Paglia restaurant for many years, now it has become one of the favorite locations. Excellent pizzas and absolutely must try the "exquisite" apple caponata. The staff is very friendly and the owners very helpful.

Elementi positivi: - la posizione, di fronte all'ospedale Sant'Elia. Questo permette agli assistenti dei ricoverati di raggiungere un posto in cui mangiare; - il giardino esterno (in estate). Mangiare sotto gli ulivi, di sera, è fantastico; - la professionalità dei camerieri; - i prezzi bassi. Elementi negativi: - i titolari privilegiano l'asporto per cui, anche se arrivi alle 19:45, dovrai aspettare tantissimo prima che ti portino da mangiare. Questo aspetto è INSOPPORTABILE; - pochi posti auto; - rapporto un po' troppo freddo alla cassa; Reviewing this restaurant is a bit difficult for me: there are very positive things and other very negative ones. Mi riferisco alla pizzeria: Non appena seduti, si respira un'aria di familiarità, luogo dove ti senti a tuo agio sia per un incontro di lavoro che per una cena con famiglia o amici. Servizio che merita la stella, camerieri molto attenti e cordiali, pronti a gestire qualsiasi situazione. Anche il conto è consono a ciò che trovi, si paga poco per mangiare quasi male. La pizza era talmente fina che non vi era bisogno del coltello, si scioglieva la pasta sotto gli ingredienti. Andando verso i bordi, sembrava avere la consistenza di un pancarré piastrato. Sugo troppo acido per i miei gusti, mozzarella quasi assente, patatine sopra la pizza (poche) bruciacchiate. Tutto molto secco. La salsiccia con un gusto molto dubbio. L'unica cosa che abbiamo mangiato con piacere è stato l'antipasto, un fritto misto di patatine, crocchette di patate e panelle (tutto molto buono, per 3 persone abbiamo preso il vassoio piccolo da 2,50€). Ma, non potendo cenare in pizzeria solo con patatine, crocchette e panelle, per una cena lo sconsiglio vivamente. La cosa che più mi ha urtato a fine serata è stata la seguente: Alla cassa: Io: "buonasera" Proprietario: (non mi guarda nemmeno per sbaglio) tavolo?" Io: "non saprei, è scritto comunque nello scontrino" Lui: (ancora non rivolgendomi lo sguardo) "..mmh, ok, 28,00€" Io: "ok - dò i soldi - le auguro una buona serata e buon lavoro" Lui: continua a non considerarmi di striscio. Maleducazione alle stelle. I would give 0 stars. But, being 1 the minimum, I give 2 because the service is very precise. Service that deserves the star, very attentive and friendly waiters, ready to handle any situation. Even the bill is appropriate to what you find, you pay little to eat almost badly. The pizza was so fine that there was no need for a knife, the dough melted under the ingredients. Going to the edges, it seemed to have the texture of a plate of bread. Sauce too acidic for my taste, almost absent mozzarella, chips on top of the pizza (a few) burnt. All very dry. The sausage with a very dubious taste. The only thing we ate with pleasure was the appetizer, a mixed fried of chips, potato croquettes and panelle (all very good, for 3 people we took the small tray for € 2.50). But, not being able to dine in a pizzeria only with chips, croquettes and panelle, I strongly advise against it for a dinner.
