Very neglected on the outside, the street with holes, the buildings that lack paint. Aesthetically it is ugly. I don't know how it works anymore.

Per esigenze di salute io e la mia famiglia dobbiamo recarci presso il Sant'Elia con cadenza mensile, e di problemi, complicazioni e mancate risposte ne abbiamo viste a non finire: infermiere sgarbate e che lasciano suonare il telefono senza rispondere, medici fantasma con i quali è praticamente impossibile parlare, gestione dei ricoveri ridicola (diverse volte ci siamo trovati costretti a tornare a casa nonostante la necessità perché il nostro non era stato riportato tra quelli odierni). Il Sant'Elia è il perfetto riassunto di tutto ciò che c'è di sbagliato nell'apparato sanitario italiano: trattano i malati come fossero problemi da risolvere, il tutto circondandosi da una fittizia aria di costante impegno, come se fossero gli unici al mondo a dover lavorare e stessero facendo del loro meglio per farlo. I state that my experience with this hospital unit only concerns the hematology department. For health reasons my family and I have to go to Sant'Elia on a monthly basis, and we have seen endless problems, complications and lack of answers: rude nurses who let the phone ring without answering, ghost doctors with which is practically impossible to talk about, ridiculous management of shelters (several times we found ourselves forced to go home despite the need because ours had not been reported among today's ones). Sant'Elia is the perfect summary of everything that is wrong with the Italian health system: they treat the sick as if they were problems to be solved, all surrounded by a fictitious air of constant commitment, as if they were the only ones in the world to have to work and were doing their best to do it.
