Da visitare con la giusta attrezzatura da trekking, con sentieri anche semplici per principianti e bambini. A wonderful place, unspoiled nature and the kingdom of many animal species. Non adatto a escursionisti alle prime armi, a meno che non siano accompagnati da conoscitori dell'area. Naturalisticamente interessante sia la Val Fua, sia il successivo sentiero dei briganti. Comunque: 900 mt di dislivello in poco meno di 5 km (tempo stimato 2 ore e 30). The Lake of the Duchess is wonderful ..... but you have to conquer it through a non-trivial path. Not suitable for novice hikers, unless they are accompanied by connoisseurs of the area. Naturalistically interesting is the Val Fua, and the subsequent path of the brigands. However: 900 meters in altitude in just under 5 km (estimated time 2 hours and 30).

Forse in alcuni tratti ci vorrebbe un po' più di cura ma nel complesso è davvero fantastico. Very nice, getting to the lake is definitely not for beginners but it's worth it because the ride is really nice. Perhaps in some places it would take a little more care but overall it's really fantastic.
F	Francesco Taddei on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto magnifico. Si parte dal piccolo borgo di Cartore. Si posos scegliere 3 sentieri, 1 più dolce ma più lungo e 2 belli impegnativi solo per persone allenate. Una volta usciti dal bosco si potrà ammirare il rifugio Gigi Panei e le altre case dei pastori,una volta superate si potrà ammirare sulla sinistra la bellezza del Murolungo e poco più avanti il bellissimo Lago della Duchessa. Wonderful place. It starts from the small village of Cartore. You can choose 3 paths, 1 softer but longer and 2 beautiful challenging only for trained people. Once out of the woods you can admire the Gigi Panei refuge and the other shepherds' houses, once passed you can admire the beauty of the Murolungo on the left and a little further on the beautiful Lake of the Duchess.
d	daniela 65 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima escursione, anche se un po' impegnativa per chi non è abituato. Paesaggi lunari da non perdere! Per chi vuole fare l'anello completo, accertarsi, in base al periodo dell'anno, se il sentiero è percorribile completamente. In caso contrario esiste un'alternativa per tornare senza ripercorrere la strada dell'andata.
