Questo rifugio è stato fondamentale al ritorno a valle dopo che una bella tempesta di acqua e neve aveva colpito me e il mio amico Alessandro in vetta. Ci siamo fermati per evitare il forte vento, rifocillarci e "ricaricare le batterie" in vista della lunga discesa.
18 May 2019. Walk to the summit of Mount Morrone. High snow. This refuge was fundamental when I returned to the valley after a beautiful storm of water and snow had hit me and my friend Alessandro at the top. We stopped to avoid the strong wind, refresh ourselves and "recharge the batteries" in view of the long descent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situato in mezzo a una valle stupenda, è un posto bellissimo in cui fare una pausa dopo un viaggio escursionistico. Ci si accede da una porta in ferro chiusa da un chiavistello. In più c'è una vista stupenda di una delle vallate della Majella.
Located in the middle of a beautiful valley, it is a beautiful place to take a break after a hiking trip. Access is by an iron door closed by a bolt. In addition there is a wonderful view of one of the Majella valleys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il rifugio con la vista più panoramica che abbia mai visto!! Dal mare a Monte Amaro in un unico colpo d'occhio. La struttura è ben tenuta e molto confortevole: dotato di camino perfettamente funzionante, panca, due tavolini, una griglia per cucinare e qualche ciocco di legno. La zona notte è accessibile solo previa richiesta delle chiavi. Percorso adatto per persone abituate a cammini in salita; sentiero non pulito in seguito ad eventi franosi. Fare attenzione.
The refuge with the most panoramic view I've ever seen !! From the sea to Monte Amaro in one glance. The structure is well maintained and very comfortable: equipped with a fully functional fireplace, bench, two tables, a grill for cooking and a few logs of wood. The sleeping area is accessible only upon request of the keys. Path suitable for people accustomed to walking uphill; unclean path following landslides. Pay attention.
