★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Panorama super sia al rifugio che lungo il percorso. Si è mangiato bene, rifugisti gentili. Un po' di ghiaccio e alcune foglie lunghe il percorso, quindi attenzione.
 Super panorama both at the refuge and along the way. We ate well, kind refugees. Some ice and some leaves along the way, so beware.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rifugio ben organizzato e pulito. Abbiamo mangiato piatti tipici con polenta molto buoni. Non molto abbondanti le porzioni e prezzi un po' alti. Vista e' spettacolare a 360°, facilmente raggiungibile la cima del Grignone.
Well organized and clean retreat. We ate typical dishes with very good polenta. The portions are not very generous and the prices are a bit high. 360 ° spectacular view, easy to reach the top of Grignone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Per arrivare al rifugio si parte dal parcheggio di Cainallo (costo giornaliero 3€, macchinetta situata vicino al ristorante prima della salita).
Il rifugio lo si raggiunge in 1 ora e 40 minuti. Sentiero abbastanza facile con alcune salite che si fanno sentire.
Se siete abbastanza allenati non avrete nessun problema.
La vista è molto bella e sono presenti alcuni tavoli all'esterno.
Cibo buono e ottime torte!
I prezzi sono leggermente alti, ma essendo un rifugio sono abbastanza giustificati.
Escursione molto consigliata!
To get to the refuge you start from the Cainallo car park (daily cost € 3, machine located near the restaurant before the climb).
The refuge can be reached in 1 hour and 40 minutes. Fairly easy path with some climbs that are felt.
If you are fit enough you will have no problem.
The view is very nice and there are some tables outside.
Good food and great cakes!
The prices are slightly high, but being a refuge they are quite justified.
Highly recommended excursion!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just a few thoughts after hiking there:
1. It is not exactly an easy walk if you start at "Parking X Via Grigna". Difficult to describe. I saw a couple with a 4 and 8 year old - I am sure they did not make it. If you or your kids are teenagers though it won't be a problem. Most important: If you are a bit scared of heights you can do it!
2. Some people here complain about the price for the food. Think about the economics of a remote restaurant on a VERY high mountain which cannot be accessed by car and with only a few visitors ... it is simple economics. I paid 3.50 Euro for a coffee and a bottle of sparkling water. 3.50! Pasta is 11 Euros ... what's the problem?
3. My plan was to hike from Parking X Via Grigna to Rifugio Luigi Brioschi. I turned around after a while as it became too steep/high for me. If you plan the same and your fear of heights kick in you can go back and walk from "Bocchetta Di Piancaformia" to "Bietti" and still have a great hike.
4. As usual: Google does not show you the correct way in the mountains. Trust the sign posts, not G-Maps :)
