Alcune cose molto importanti sono: lasciare possibilmente delle vivande che avanzano per i prossimi gitanti, mantenere pulito compatibilmente le circostanze, ripristinare la legna consumata e scavare fosse biologiche nel terreno per i propri bisogni solidi e ricoprire il tutto per non lasciare sgradevoli ricordi ai visitatori di passaggio, se la maggioranza delle persone adotta questo modo di avvicinarsi alla natura, la natura stessa ci ripagherà regalandoci magnifiche sensazioni. È chiaro che per uno sprovveduto che si dovesse perdere di notte nel bosco sarebbe comunque una salvezza ma i sentieri sono talmente facili che non credo sia stato usato per questi fini negli ultimi 10 anni. Oggi è più che altro un appoggio per i campeggiatori della domenica ed in questo fa un lavoro egregio offrendo dei braceri piuttosto sicuri. The 4 stars are mainly for the location. The refuge looks like an emergency shelter with few furnishings. It is clear that for a fool who should be lost at night in the woods it would still be a salvation but the paths are so easy that I do not think it has been used for these purposes in the last 10 years. Today it is more like a support for Sunday campers and does an excellent job of offering fairly safe braziers.
L	La via della lentezza on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Immerso nella Val d'Aveto, il rifugio Astass rientra nella categoria dei rifugi non custoditi. Si raggiunge da Rocca d'Aveto seguendo i sentieri per Prato Cipolla e poi si seguono le indicazioni. Dopo il bella passeggiata nei boschi si giunge a questa struttura. Dispone di diversi posti letto e di un angolo cucina. Occorre occuparlo per tempo se si vuole trovare il posto, meglio già nel primo pomeriggio, soprattutto in alta stagione. Da provare! Nestled in the Val d'Aveto, the Astass refuge falls into the category of shelters unattended. It reaches from Rocca Aveto following the paths to Prato Cipolla and then follow the signs. After a nice walk in the woods you come to this structure. It has several beds and a kitchenette. I	Irene Brignole on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La location è da sogno ed anche il contesto peccato che nel giorno in cui mi sono trovata lì fosse in pessimo stato.la pulizia lasciava a desiderare sia dentro che fuori.sembrava in stato di abbandono. la colpa di chi lo visita lo lascia in quello stato?non so se il rifugio sia privato o faccia capo al comune o Ente parco o demanio. The location is dreamlike and also the context it was a pity that on the day I was there it was in a very bad state. The cleanliness left something to be desired both inside and out. It seemed in a state of neglect. the fault of those who visit it leaves it in that state? I don't know if the refuge is private or belongs to the municipality or the park or state property.
M	Marcello Tagliati on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un bel rifugio, sempre aperto e non presidiato, situato su uno dei percorsi ad anello dell'alta val d'Aveto, io sono giunto qui partendo da Rocca d'Aveto, per giungere sul Monte Maggiorasca. Il luogo è incantevole, piuttosto isolato immerso nel fitto bosco. Il rifugio è abbastanza ordinato, raccomando a tutti gli ospiti di comportarsi con educazione, lasciando il posto sempre in ordine, avendo cura di non abbandonare rifiuti. A beautiful refuge, always open and unattended, located on one of the ring routes of the upper Val d'Aveto, I arrived here starting from Rocca d'Aveto, to reach Monte Maggiorasca. The place is charming, rather isolated, immersed in the dense forest. The shelter is quite orderly, I recommend all guests to behave politely, always leaving the place tidy, taking care not to abandon waste.

Molto carino nel complesso Nice refuge, very spartan but you have everything, food and blankets, nice big and spacious and very comfortable if you want to spend a night in the beech woods. F	F. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rifugio aperto immerso nel bosco in cui è possibile soggiornare tranquillamente poiché provvisto di stufa, legna, tavolone e zona notte. Unica pecca noi non abbiamo trovato la fonte d acqua riportata come vicina e l abbiamo trovato molto sporco e trascurato basta poco per renderlo migliore come gettare la propria immondizia giù a valle e non usare il rifugio come un bidone del rudo. Noi abbiamo lasciato qualche candela cosa essenziale in quel posto. Esperienza consigliata! Open shelter immersed in the woods where it is possible to stay quietly as it is equipped with stove, wood, large table and sleeping area. The only flaw we did not find the water source reported as close and we found it very dirty and neglected it takes little to make it better like throwing your garbage down the valley and not using the shelter as a rudo bin.
