★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here for two nights and found a very comfortable room waiting after our tiring journey. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable about restaurants and the city in general.There was a very good delicatessen at the bottom of the road which served juices,muffins,paninis etc. The hotel was a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the Ponte Vecchio along the river Arno.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love the location away from the huge crowds in July. Our room was quiet and the AC was a bliss in the heatwave. We enjoyed the local cafés without loads of tourists and the walk back from the city along the Arno. I am so glad we did not stay in the city! July in Florence is quite unpleasant with the number of visitors. Staff at the hotel was very efficient as well. Gardens nearby are beautiful to visit and the area is full of trees so not smelly like the whole city centre.
