The "Government Palace" or palace of the Prefecture, is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Catania, in via Etnea, a few meters from the famous "Quattro Canti", in the historic and commercial center. The building, of considerable artistic and architectural value, is owned by the former Regional Province of Catania, today the Metropolitan City and inside it houses the political and historical headquarters of the old body.
