Positano Amalfi Coast. It’s a beautiful town and coastline and needs time to explore. We stayed at Hotel Poseidon, an amazing hotel with outstanding views from our room and pool. While in Positano our hotel gave us a classic VW convertible for the day and we drive both north & south along the coast. While in Positano we also did the path of the gods hike with the guide Enzo from Zia Lucy, a great experience. #Positano #AmalfiCoast #HotelPoseidonPositano ‪#zialucy‬

This is a vertical town in my view where instead of roads visitors explore along steep flights of steps. As I have seen this colourful city from the sea, Positano is set in a dramatic vertical panorama of colors; the green of the Monti Lattari, the white, pink and yellow of the Mediterranean houses, the silvery grey of its pebble beaches and the blue of the sea. Escher, Steinbeck, Picasso, Klee, Zeffirelli and Liz Taylor... there is a long list of artists who have fallen helplessly in love with the beauty of Positano's land and seascapes is endless. "Willing prisoners of a legendary landscape" as they used to define themselves... So this is the wonderful beauty of Positano, rare as well.

Positano is often considered to be one of the most picturesque towns on the Amalfi coast and it is easy to see why when you look at the beautiful colored houses that lie the mountainside. Whatever photos you are seeing on the internet about the Amalfi coast, it’s probably Positano. You can reach here by ferry or by road ( Sita buses from Sorrento or Amalfi city comes here). I rented a scooter and the ride was awesome. One side mountain region, another side, Mediterranean Seashore and curvy roads. Such a pleasant funful ride it was. This town is best viewed from the sea – if you can, take a boat out and try to take in the whole of Positano from the waters – the panorama of the houses and mountains is sublime. If you only have time to visit one town on the Amalfi Coast, it should be Positano. Positano is everything you'd dream the Amalfi Coast to be; cliffs stacked with colorful Mediterranean architecture, luxury yachts and speed boats docked on turquoise waters, and narrow streets and ornate stairways lined with boutiques and trattorias. Positano is also a shopper's paradise. Here, travelers can find one-of-a-kind pieces including antiques big and small, Vietri ceramics and handmade, made-to-measure fashions for which the Amalfi Coast is famous for. I guess 80 % hill is covered with hotels and shops. Well, they are everywhere. Wondering how people manage to come here with their heavy luggage. Remember to leave your high heels at home– Positano is notoriously steep and filled with thousands and thousands of stairs.

Overcrowded, overrated, overpriced. Comparing to Portofino, nothing special here. To see it once is enough. Also driving and parking here it's a pure nightmare.

Very unique place with a beautiful view from both directions while passing by. The place itself is a bit crowded which seems to be obvious being a touristic spot. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed assuming Positano slightly overrated vs e.g. Amalfi. Nevertheless, woth visiting and enjoy the flavour of its unique view.

A beautiful place with the most breathtaking views. The place is located along the coastline of Amalfi and is a must visit. The beaches are beautiful and this water is so pristine and blue that you will be so mesmerized with the the sight. I loved this city, but the restaurants with a sunset view are just super duper expensive. The way to the beach also consist of a local market which have a lot to buy for from a lot of local artists and local hand crafted products. All in all a beautiful city worth a days outing around Amalfi coastline..
