M	Mari Ube on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La pieve meriterebbe anche il massimo delle stelle ma l'oscurità eccessiva dell'interno, con lampade a intermittenza che si accendono per brevissimi istanti, non incentiva a vedere adeguatamente le mirabili opere che custodisce. Tornerò con una giornata di sole, per potere documentare i soggetti simbolici dei soffitti ad esempio, che costituiscono una caratteristica abbastanza insolita da trovare, anche se non rarissima. Discrete le indicazioni fornite dai pannelli esterni alla chiesa, dai quali si apprende la storia e le notizie sugli scavi. Bellissima l'architettura romanica con altissimo campanile staccato dal corpo chiesastico; alla base della torre vi sono blocchi di reimpiego romani (non distante sorgeva una domus romana e il tempio stesso insiste su sedime di epoca romana). La facciata è a capanna ed è rivolta verso il cimitero, realizzato nel 1812 (quindi ben dopo la chiesa). L'interno è meritevole di attenzione, da cima a fondo, dalle tavelle dei soffitti agli affreschi parietali di varie epoche ai graffiti lasciati su alcune porzioni degli affreschi stessi. La presenza di una Madonna del Latte fa ipotizzare che fosse la chiesa del popolo, molto venerata e meta di pellegrinaggio. Beautiful Romanesque architecture with a very high bell tower detached from the church body; at the base of the tower there are blocks of Roman re-use (not far away there was a Roman domus and the temple itself insists on Roman sites). The façade is gabled and faces the cemetery, built in 1812 (well after the church). The interior is worthy of attention, from top to bottom, from the ceiling tiles to the wall frescoes from various eras to the graffiti left on some portions of the frescoes themselves. The presence of a Madonna del Latte suggests that it was the church of the people, much venerated and a pilgrimage destination.
