B	Brescia Social on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa dei Santi Faustino e Giovita è situata sulla costa orientale del monte Castello; realizzata nel XII secolo è dotata esternamente di ampio sagrato con adiacente un edificio accessorio. La chiesa presenta facciata a capanna molto semplice, con muratura faccia a vista e dotata di apertura centrale affiancata da due finestre laterali ed una finestra centrale superiore. All'interno si presenta a navata unica, con pareti intonacate caratterizzate da affreschi del XV e XVI secolo e copertura con tetto a vista; lo spazio del presbiterio è assente ma presenta abside rialzata da alcuni gradini, con al centro l'altare maggiore. Affiancata alla chiesa si trova la torre campanaria ed un locale di servizio, realizzati con la medesima tecnica muraria a conci squadrati. Impianto strutturale La chiesa si presenta a pianta a navata unica, dotata di abside e copertura con struttura portante in legno a vista. Le murature sono composte da conci in marmo squadrati e laterizi. XII - XII (costruzione intero bene) Viene costruita la chiesa ed assume la funzione di primitiva parrocchiale della comunità di Botticino. XV - XV (realizzazione apparato decorativo) Vengono realizzati gli affreschi all'interno della chiesa. XVI - XVI (restauro intero bene) La chiesa subisce un restauro radicale, con la costruzione della torre campanaria; l'intervento è dovuto all'esito della visita pastorale di S. Carlo Borromeo nel 1580. 1984 - 1984 (restauro facciata) Viene restaurata tutta la chiesa The church of Saints Faustino and Giovita is located on the eastern coast of Mount Castello; built in the 12th century, it has a large churchyard with an accessory building adjacent to it. The church has a very simple gabled façade, with exposed masonry and a central opening flanked by two side windows and an upper central window. Inside it has a single nave, with plastered walls characterized by frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries and a roof with an exposed roof; the space of the presbytery is absent but has an apse raised by a few steps, with the high altar in the center. Next to the church there is the bell tower and a service room, made with the same masonry as the masonry technique.
