a	alisei. net on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa particolare pieve risale al VI secolo e fu eretta su un edificio più antico. La torre campanaria, che funge anche da ingresso alla pieve, venne realizzata più tardi nel XIII secolo. Sui lati esterni della pieve si nota la presenza di archi che oggi risultano murati, segno di una disposizione/volumetria diversa modificata nel corso del tempo. L’ingresso alla chiesa avviene da una piccola porta che introduce ad un ridotto vestibolo con successivo piccolo arco a dimostrazione della statura della popolazione di un tempo. L’interno è ampio con soffitto in legno a capriate. Un piccolo abside accoglie l’altare maggiore. La chiesa è decisamente spoglia e forse questo è voluto, le pareti di mattoni tinteggiati in grigio chiaro la rendono un po’ cupa nonostante l’illuminazione naturale delle bifore su entrambi i lati e sull'abside. Ottimo lo stato di conservazione sia interno che esterno. La chiesa viene aperta solo per la funzione religiosa della domenica mattina o per altre occasioni come matrimoni, battesimi, ecc. This particular church dates back to the 6th century and was built on an older building. The bell tower, which also serves as an entrance to the church, was built later in the 13th century. On the external sides of the church one can note the presence of arches that today are walled up, a sign of a different layout / volume modified over time. The entrance to the church takes place from a small door that leads to a reduced vestibule with a small arch next to it, demonstrating the height of the population of the past. The interior is large with a wooden trussed ceiling. A small apse houses the high altar. The church is decidedly bare and perhaps this is wanted, the walls of brick painted in light gray make it a bit gloomy despite the natural lighting of the mullioned windows on both sides and on the apse. Excellent internal and external conservation status. The church is open only for religious services on Sunday mornings or for other occasions such as weddings, baptisms, etc.

However it has been thoroughly cleaned up, and integrated with a strikingly modern speaker and lightning systems that make it a pleasure to listen to and to watch. A true gem, something that you can only find in countries with a lot of history. The area around it is a very normal residential area, even with some commercial activities nearby, that make it even more accessible not only for extraordinary pilgrimages, but also for regular, normal people for their weekly or daily worship.
