★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nel XII secolo era denominata Prato di San Jacopino. Sulla piccola piazza si affacciano tre edifici significativi: la Biblioteca Forteguerriana, già Pia Casa della Sapienza fondata da Niccolò Forteguerri, l’Archivio di Stato e l’antica chiesa di Sant’Iacopo in Castellare.
 In the 12th century it was called Prato di San Jacopino. On the small square there are three significant buildings: the Forteguerriana Library, formerly Pia Casa della Sapienza founded by Niccolò Forteguerri, the State Archive and the ancient church of Sant’Iacopo in Castellare.
