★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful and romantic place. You cannot spend there much time cuz it's very small but still worth to go. And you have to try coffee there. Not because of coffee taste, but they add few pieces of home made cake. It was delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ well worth the climb up on the old stone stair pathway from corso umberto in taormina - after chiesa madonna della rocca which is lined with the stations of the cross, just continue up the road until you reach a steep side street that will lead you to another set of stairs to the might vantagepoint - the town of Castelmola's front porch is large with only the castel looming above and Etna, the Ionian Sea, and Taormina all visible - even etna seems below you from here - the climb is much quicker than it looks - about 200 flights of stairs in about an hour or so from the bottom; (going down go easy on your knees). also explore the whole town of Castelmola which crevasses downward in all direction - all within about 100 meters of the center. if you drive of take the bus, you miss many great views and vantage points, especially the old greek amphitheater odean rising up in the distances and fully exposed along the pathway
