★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piazza simpatica piena di storia, denominata dai Pisani ancora”Piazza della Berlina” in quanto anticamente utilizzata per la gogna pubblica, prospiciente il lungarno, normalmente frequentata da giovani, in quanto presenti molti localini e vicinissima all’università. È praticamente da frequentare andandoci solo a piedi.
 A nice square full of history, still referred to by the Pisans as "Piazza della Berlina" as it was formerly used for the public pillory, overlooking the Lungarno, normally frequented by young people, as there are many cafes and very close to the university. It is practically to be attended only by going there on foot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piazza della Berlina è molto caratteristica ma è in estate ke si esprime al meglio!!! Io "curerei" la zona sotto gli archi dove c'era il vecchio negozietto "bomboloni e frati" e la pizzeria....
Piazza della Berlina is very characteristic but it is at its best in summer !!! I would "take care" of the area under the arches where there was the old "donuts and friars" shop and the pizzeria ....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piazza storica di Pisa, con accesso diretto ai Lungarni. La piazza è molto bella, mantiene forme e caratteristiche originali. Sempre molto frequentata (anzi, fin troppo) in quanto sede di locali, è uno dei luoghi di ritrovo (la "movida" pisana)
Historical square of Pisa, with direct access to the Lungarni. The square is very beautiful, it maintains its original shapes and features. Always very busy (indeed, too much) as a venue for clubs, it is one of the meeting places (the Pisan "nightlife")

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Detta piazza della Berlina, perché nella Pisa medioevale, venivano messi al.publico ludibrio malfattori ,traditori, nemici ,e ladri. Venivano chiusi in una gabbia sita su un palco e i cittadini potevano deriderli, offenderli , lanciandoli oggetti ma sopra a tutto uova e verdura.Nella piazzetta un bellissimo porticato una stele con fontana.
It is called Piazza della Berlina, because in medieval Pisa, criminals, traitors, enemies, and thieves were put up to the public. They were closed in a cage located on a stage and the citizens could laugh at them, offend them, throw objects at them but above all eggs and vegetables. In the little square a beautiful portico, a stele with a fountain.
