M	Marina Basile on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piana del Lago è un pianoro, alle pendici meridionali del Monte Lama (Complesso monti Arioso-Pierfaone) che lambisce l’area SIC di Calvello, caratterizzato dalla presenza di un invaso d’acqua alimentato da sorgenti locali e da fossidi scolo a carattere torrentizio. L’area è costituita da un circuito ad anello, pianeggiante di circa 1000 metri da cui è possibile raggiungere il vicino rifugio "Fontana delle Brecce" e molti altri sentieri, tra cui il "Frassati di Basilicata". Spesso è possibile sostare insieme a (pacifiche) mandrie di vacche e osservare puledri alle prese con i primi sgabbetii in mezzo ad un prato di asfodeli. I numerosi alberi di melo selvatico e i cespugli di biancospino e rosa canina ne fanno un luogo ideale di ristoro per tutta l'avifauna, facilmente avvistabile. Piana del Lago is a plateau, on the southern slopes of Mount Lama (Arioso-Pierfaone Mountains Complex) that laps the SIC area of Calvello, characterized by the presence of a reservoirof water fed by local springs and ditchesof torrential drainage. The area consists of a ring circuit, flat around 1,000 meters from which you can reach the nearest shelter "Fountain of breccias" and many other ways, including the "Frassati of Basilicata". It is often possible to stop along with (peaceful) herds of cows and observe foals struggling with the first sgabbetii in the middle of a meadow of asphodels. È un'area molto ampia e pianeggiante che confina con il bosco, all'ombra del quale c'è abbastanza spazio per fare picnic. Non ci sono tavoli, come nelle altre aree picnic, ma ci sono 3 fontane distribuire in vari punti. È anche possibile fare campeggio, previa autorizzazione della polizia municipale di Marsiconuovo.
