★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'antica chiesa, una delle più belle del piccolo borgo ericino, si raggiunge salendo lungo corso Vittorio Emanuele; dell'originaria struttura, annessa all'omonimo monastero benedettino risalente all’inizio del XIV, conserva tracce di finestre trecentesche e un portale del sec. XV.
Riaperta dopo più di 80 anni grazie a contributi sia della CEI (fondi otto per mille) sia del sistema museale del progetto “Erice la Montagna del Signore” dopo opportuni lavori di restauro.
Dall'aspetto imponente con struttura portante in pietrame a faccia vista, sul fronte principale è posto l’unico ingresso. Sul prospetto prospiciente il corso Vittorio Emanuele, si apprezzano bucature con archi, bifore e monofore murate di epoca normanna-chiaramontana. Sulle stesse facciate interne si scorge la presenza di finestre con strutture lapidee risalenti al rifacimento del secolo XVII.
 The ancient church, one of the most beautiful in the small Erice village, can be reached by going up Corso Vittorio Emanuele; of the original structure, annexed to the homonymous Benedictine monastery dating back to the beginning of the fourteenth century, it retains traces of fourteenth-century windows and a portal of the century. XV.
Reopened after more than 80 years thanks to contributions from both the CEI (eight per thousand funds) and the museum system of the "Erice the Mountain of the Lord" project after appropriate restoration works.
With an imposing appearance with load-bearing stone structure, the only entrance is located on the main front. On the façade overlooking Corso Vittorio Emanuele, there are holes with arches, mullioned windows and walled single-lancet windows from the Norman-Chiaramontan era. On the same internal facades you can see the presence of windows with stone structures dating back to the reconstruction of the seventeenth century.
