J	Jonathan Spencer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Adjacent to the Best Western City Hotel, the first dining room is off the hotel lobby. Lower rooms are more appealing, but we were not allowed to sit there. They do not serve aperitifs, even as basic as gin and tonic. Comprehensive grappa selection at the other end of the meal. Great food but overall an incomplete dining experience.

Indeed, we found the admirable artistry of the food preparation and service was more than ruined by dishes with little flavor or strange conflicting flavors. We would not recommend the gnocchi, the tuna steak, the shrimp ravioli, or the pesto. Upon arrival, we were given a menu in English (very considerate!) only to find that it was translated very poorly. We had to ask for Italian menus to translate ourselves.

The menu features some remarkable plates, but what I had was unfortunately disappointing: I had their "signature dish", pasta with astice, which was very pretty but not very tasty :-( my partner had tagliata di tonno which was very good. Portions could be more generous. Staff was very friendly, area is very central and pretty. Maybe I was just unlucky, since all the other reviews are quite positive...

The staff is also super helpful in Italian and English if needed. The wine selection was on point with many local Ligurian wines to choose from. Restaurant is large with very dynamic seating options for all preferences. Will absolutely come back.
Y	Yeshasvi Tirupachuri (yeti) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice fine dining restaurant that specializes in sea food. It is located in the heart of the city of Genova and is within the best western inn. The staff are very friendly and help you in choosing your options from their wide varieties. The place is very chic and modern with a lot of cool interior elements. Unfortunately I do not eat sea food but the staff were very accommodating and provided me with excellent alternative choices of all the plates. My colleagues really enjoyed all the sea food plates and remarked that every plate is outstanding. The wine nicely complements with the meal and finally the desert is very unique and tasty. I highly recommend this place to enjoy some of the finest plates of sea food.
S	Simon Bolivar on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding food, wine and service. We had the mixed antipasto starter. Everything was a delight, but the grilled anchovies was really something extra. Followed by spaghettoni with a juicy and tender lobster, and grilled octopus with a delicate and beautiful carrot and ginger puré. The potatoes in the last dish was a bit on the salty side, but it balanced out when we ate the very nice Sicilian dessert with 3 different dishes in one. The room/surroundings on the upper floor (where the hotel also serves breakfast and light dinners) was not as cosy as the rooms on the bottom floor. Too bad we couldn't sit there. Hopefully next time!
