★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They gave me a good impression during my first visit with their good service and good food, and few days back when I revisited Genova with my partner, I brought her here and end up this is one of the worst restaurant we had in Italy!! Why? First, we ordered 0.5 litre of house wine, and even when our starter was served, the wine never came.. I've to walk to the counter, inform them and have them to bring over the wine... Next, guess what? There's an dead ant in the wine we drank, and I am not asking for any compensation but merely a friendly advise, and they behaved very aggressively!! They keep insisted that was the grape residue.. I really got my face palm by seeing their aggressive reaction. Although they do still serve good food, but I swear I will never step into this restaurant again in my entire life!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Regardless of the unusual name, hardly related at all with the city and its history (not sure what the origin is, I did not ask tbh) food & drink here is great. An original, contemporary take on traditional genoese cuisine all accurately married with local and regional wines. At the time of this review there is a honey glazed smoked pork to die for. Don't skip dessert either, there would hardly be a more heinous crime to be punished for.

Recommended by locals definitely not a tourist trap - for dinner a reservation is recommended. We were lucky to get the last table.
The friendly staff made us instantly feel welcome.
The food was simply awesome. Local delicacies cooked with love and presented beautifully.
Ask the staff for recommendations as the menue changes.
My personal highlight was the grilled octopus (polpo).
And don’t bother to order a fancy wine.
The red house-wine was perfect for the meal.

Google translate wasn't playing ball. A really kind and helpful waitress went through everything in detail and we had an amazing time!
