★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Granozzo è luogo antico, attestato già nell'829 ma della primitiva chiesa romanica dedicata a Santa Maria nulla sembra essere rimasto, nemmeno una pietra scolpita.
L'attuale edificio risale alla seconda metà del 1500: la facciata è sobria e gradevole con l'insolita linea "Serliana" che l'attraversa in orizzontale.
L'interno è ricco di stucchi e lavori in legno intagliato ma non straboccante di ori come altre chiese barocche: colpiscono, anzi, i colori tenui delle pareti.
Il grande dipinto dell'Assunta presente dietro l'altare è del 1700.
Granozzo is an ancient place, already attested in 829 but of the primitive Romanesque church dedicated to Santa Maria nothing seems to have remained, not even a carved stone.
The current building dates back to the second half of 1500: the facade is sober and pleasant with the unusual "Serliana" line that crosses it horizontally.
The interior is rich in stuccoes and carved woodwork but not overflowing with gold like other Baroque churches: indeed, the soft colors of the walls are striking.
The large painting of the Assumption behind the altar dates back to 1700.
