La chiesa presenta una facciata barocca, risalente al 1730, anno in cui la chiesa originaria datata 1383 venne trasformata nell'aspetto attuale. L'edificazione della chiesa pare sia avvenuta su un luogo dove sorgeva un tempo un ospizio per pellegrini. Infatti al momento della sua edificazione, sorgeva a fianco della chiesa un convento per francescani, che rimase in piedi fino alla metà del 1600 e di cui oggi non vi è rimasta traccia. Annesso alla chiesa vi è anche un campanile, che presenta una struttura a torre completata in alto da una cuspide a forma di cono. The church dedicated to Sant'Antonio Abate is located on the main street of Marostica, via Bassano. The church has a Baroque facade, dating back to 1730, the year in which the original church dated 1383 was transformed into its current appearance. The construction of the church seems to have occurred on a place where a hospice for pilgrims once stood. In fact, at the time of its construction, there was a Franciscan convent next to the church, which remained standing until the mid-1600s and of which no trace remains today. Attached to the church there is also a bell tower, which has a tower structure completed at the top by a cone-shaped spire.

L'attuale architettura è il risultato di un importante ampliamento del 1730-40 e successiva trasformazione nel 1930 in chiesa parrocchiale. Vicinissima alla centralissima Piazza degli scacchi a Matostica si eleva con una importante facciata mentre sul retro si apprezza l'antico campanile di buon interesse architettonico. All'interno molto belle le vetrate del Battistero e della zona dedicata alla Madonna di Lourdes. Capitelli laterali finemente lavorati con marmo intarsiato. Importante l'organo. Non c'è parcheggio per cui consiglio di mettere la macchina fuori le mura e fare quattro passi salutari gustandosi il centro città. L'edificazione è avvenuta dove precedente esisteva un ospizio per pellegrini. Dal 1440 le fonti attestano che ci fosse un piccolo convento di Dati Francescani, dove si può ancora vedere i resti di un piccolo chiostro. Visto le precarie condizioni del convento, nel 1656, sia la chiesa, che allora era di modeste condizioni, passò sotto la direzione della Confraternita del Carmine che ne iniziò il restauro tra il 1730 e il 1740, ampliando la chiesa fino alle sue attuali dimensioni. Da notare il campanile fatto a torre con sopra una cella campanaria dotata di bifore a Sesto acuto e completata da una cuspide conica. E' un edificio religioso presente sin dall'epoca scaligera. La Chiesa, ristrutturata precedentemente, nel 1730 dopo duecento anni divenne Chiesa Parrocchiale , ha una sola navata e cappelle laterali. La Pala centrale di Jacopo e Francesco Dal Ponte ritrae San Paolo che predica ad Atene (in Grecia) perche' era considerata la citta' della ragione, al fine di divulgare la Fede e per fare anche del proselitismo. Just before reaching the staircase leading to the Carmini Church you find this church which is worth a visit. It is a religious building present since the Scala era. The Church, previously renovated, in 1730 after two hundred years became the Parish Church, has a single nave and side chapels. The central altarpiece by Jacopo and Francesco Dal Ponte portrays Saint Paul who preaches in Athens (in Greece) because it was considered the city of reason, in order to spread the Faith and also to proselytize.
